This is s jerry pick all the way,
He thinks he is fooling everybody and getting the better of them and they are laughing at him

He wants to take risks to luck out with a home run instead of building a team because he doesn't know the first thing about it

Just have a reasoned approach, can anyone articulate the approach, thought process?

Someone bookmark this post so if/when Smith goes to the Pro Bowl we can all remember that we who didn't go all histrionic are simply "homers".

Bookmark it... You'll see me saying he is the best player in the draft but he had a horrible injury that made it absolutely stupid for us to not draft a immediate contributor.

We took a guy who may never play again.

We shouldn't have taken him in the 2nd round.

He's the best player in the draft..

With that said..

This was an awful awful pick.

We need contributors desperately on defense and we just spent a premium pick on a guy that may never play again.. We just couldn't help ourselves from getting cute.

I don't care what kind of inside info we had on this guy we shouldn't have touched him until the 6th round.

Absolute waste and that's what happens when a Billionare runs your draft.. No sense of value.

Disgusting.

One of the worst picks I've ever seen

It's not the player..it's not the injury

It's the situation of the team

They're clueless...they don't know if they want to win now or build for later...and in the end they're doing neither

Time will tell. I obviously hope you're wrong. I'm hoping he turns out to be a steal.

I'm just glad it wasn't a TE. :)

Someone sell me on Jaylon over Jack. I'm scratching my head.

If either wasn't injured Jaylon would have went top 3. He was that good in college I watched every game of his. He was unreal. Rumor is THAt teams were more intrigued with Jaylon than jack. Felt jack will only go down hill cuz of his knee. Jaylon will recover and be great

I'm right even if he comes back healthy.

You don't do this at pick 34.

This was getting cute. A complete ego driven move thinking you are outsmarting everyone.

I just read an article on Smith and the article said the nerves are not damage or elongated, basically the nerve went to sleep and should wake back up. The surgeon says the prognosis is very good and he should have a 10 year career. He is running on the bungee if I can figure out how to load the darn video

Jerry has a ego? Good to know, I would have never thunk it.

I have never heard of that. Ever. One of our resident doctors needs to chime in on this.

The article said the nerve went to sleep and there is a very good chance for it to wake up and completely recover and the knee to be strong

I'll say this about Jaylon, he's very humble and has about as much drive as Peterson had recovering from his injury.

Certainly a high-risk, stereotypical wild-cattin' Jerruh kind of thing.

But, while the doctor may not be able to give 100% guarantee, maybe he has seen enough of the identical condition in many of his patients (and probably volumes of others he would study do be this kind of doctor) that he feels it likely that this guy can recover completely.

It is also possible the doctor doesn't know what he is talking about - you have to admit stuff like that happens. That is why the profession has so many malpractice suits. But if he is on Dallas' staff he should know what he is doing, I would hope...

I didn't follow Smith in college but just watched highlights. He looks like that guy on the other team that is always making big plays against you.

Isn't it time for Dallas to hit on an injured college LB with big skills?

I'm not. However, this is awful. This is what teams that are loaded do. I know their plan, they are going to get 1 more year out of Ro, and then Smith will come in. Next round we will pick a QB that won't play a single down in 2016 as well!!!!

You're beginning to understand. When you arrive you'll also see the Zeke pick for what it was.
