Owens didn't want to go to Baltimore, and can you blame him. Look at Baltimore... they suck... Look what happened to Mason.

T.O. is a receiver, he wants a quarterback. And he wants to be in a system that will not only pass, but also win.

He was just in that system and is getting himself thrown out.

Actually, that's NOT the reason

He's a crybaby who isolates himself from his team and will call out his own coach, QB, or whomever necessary to try and free himself from any faults.
He's a cancer and a punk. And he is a jackass.

I may be in the minority, (who cares), but that "Star incident" was never that big of a deal to me. I think he should have been flagged and suspended, but I didn't look at it like some of you who say you would never have him on our team because "he disrespected the Star". IMO, big deal.

I was glad Teague knocked him off it, but you could tell by T.O.'s reaction it wasn't a big deal to him. He just got up and walked away.

The concern I have is the circus that will surround him and what might happen to the team. Not some stupid "Star incident" from several years ago.

If we sign him, I'm hoping the huge shadow of Parcells will offset the circus atmosphere.

No question, our opinions don't matter. Big Bill is calling the shot on this one!

Because he's the ultimate non-team player in the ultimate team game.

Because he sold out not one, but two former QB's.

Because he had the gall to slam the ball during the middle of a game on the Star (which while what Teague did was a nice gesture, I would've love to have seen T.O. pull that crap when Randy White or Too Tall Jones was playing.)

Because Randy Moss' antics are a far cry from T.O.'s and T.O. isn't afraid to quit on plays, yet for some reason people will say....."well, he's not Randy Moss."

Because he played for the Eagles and the Niners, two teams I can't stand.

Because of the Sharpie incident, which wasn't cool to begin with, but the fact he signed it for some rich business manager makes it even worse.

Because he's an extremely poor winner and even a worse poor loser.

Because when I hear about the NFL players being spoiled by casual fans, T.O. only adds fuel to the fire.

Because ESPN can never shut the hell up about him.

Because T.O. could be deported to Southeast Asia and there'd still be rumors of him coming to Dallas.

Because his apologists look really idiotic and the remain steadfast in apologizing for him until he screws over his team.

I could go on, but it's late.

Veteran receivers Jerry has signed...

WR Dennis McKinnon
WR Anthony Miller
WR Raghib Ismail
WR Joey Galloway
WR Terry Glenn
WR Keyshawn Johnson
WR Quincy Morgan
WR Peerless Price

Looking at this list, should we be so surprised about TO?

Yes that's why I hate him. Plus he's selfish. I've never liked Keyshawn,so why put another guy like that on the team.

I am one that feels that the writing is on the wall.

With Irvin endorsing this clown every step of the way it seems even more likely. Surely Jerry has a little more loyalty to Irvin, and TO has a little more respect for Irvin.

Will he sign some heavily incentive laden contract that forces Bledsoe to be the wrath of his next temper tantrum ? Or will they pay him some astonomical amount of cash, or has TO really matured to the point where he knows that this is the last stop if he doesnt take care of business ?

Going to be interesting no matter what happens.

Far to many reasons. But the main one is because he is all about himself, and that is not someone you want on a team. screw TO!!!

That is part of it but ONLY a part; and not even the most significant part.

I hate the Eagles but I was appalled by what that one player did to that team. He is a selfish, egotistical blowhard and he and players like him are bad for the game by taking the competition off of the field and destroying it in the locker room. He and players like him are very poor role models for our kids and regardless of what the parents say or do these pro athletes do have an influence on how our kids see the world. They are both a cause and a symptom of what it fundamentally wrong with our society.

Actually there are so many things wrong with Owens and how he conducts himself I find myself amazed that anyone has to even ask why people hate him. In my view it is self evident.

As others pointed out... but for me the star thing was just a start...

then came the sharpie, then came the complaints about the coach and Qb and....etc...ad Naseum...

I do not believe football can be played in a "me first" mode without trouble coming from it...

The Cowboys have enough explosive troubles/problems to deal with...without adding a known ignitor

He's not going to change, but I'm not necessarily sure Parcells wants him to change. He said he's too old for thugs, but he was talking about the Derek Ross' of the world. The guys who put hanging out with their homeboys and getting in trouble ahead of football. That's not Terrell Owens. He's squeeky clean off the field but he's going to tell you exactly what's on his mind at all times.

I agree that TO is not a thug but more of a Jerk...Can Bill handle him? I have my doubts...
