The game that mattered. Put it this way, do we care if the US men’s soccer team went out and thrashed some 3rd word nations national team by 20 goals or so we care if they go and lay and egg on the the global stage in a World Cup?
They good enough to get there? I'm not 3rd world motivated to beat up opponent fans, kind of like Philadelphia fans?

This offense is simple but can be very effective.

Premise MM scheme.. call it what ever you want, doesnt matter.

Numero UNO... get Dak some early reads that drop the TTP - time to passer metric so that he has hands targets early in progressions.

They have to establish as the baseline with effective play design inorder to expand from this.

This offense has speed now on both sides of the perimeter with Cooks now in the fold with CD.

Hope our divisional rivals are paying attention because Lamb gets better now, Cooks is going to feed with short/intermidiate drop off in space and grabbing some mad YAC.

When I look at how this offense is becoming built I see a lot of YAC metrics which translates directly to hands every where.

Perimeter is set, lets see how many hands we have coming out of the backfield, those with sticky fingers will be on the active roster and not stashed.

Lol, Typhus. Now, even draws, mis-direction, and a ton of screens and quick release passes are available.

Kyle Youmans: Though the 61 regular season games of Tony Pollard's career, he has surpassed 20 carries only once.
In his six career 100-yard games, five of them came with 14 carries or less and he averaged 8.9 yards per carry in those contests. Limiting his carries to under 20 a game will continue to keep him fresh through an entire 17-game season and allow him to do what he does best.

Patrik Walker: will inevitably be tasked with doing more of the dirty work, including pass protection, along with getting grimy in the A and B gap probably more often than ever. I believe it's not a question of how, but more a question of what his durability looks like when the volume knob on his reps gets cranked.

Nick Eatman: he can take some of these carries to the house with some long runs, that will not only give him and the Cowboys some confidence about his ability to be the RB1, but just imagine how much that will open up things for the passing game around him if Pollard can prove early that he still that home-run hitting speed. If he does that and manages to stay healthy, he'll likely return to the Pro Bowl again.

Its just going to be nice to see them attack defenses weak links for the first time in like 14 years (hopefully this is the last of JG here)
Hope so.

But is seems like the OC isn't a good fit for a WC offense.

If anything, our OC has more in common with KMoore.

Are they changing the terminology just so Big Mike can call plays?

He's had a death grip on that play sheet since 2020.

Prima facie I get that but given MM came into the league as the OC's father's QB coach then OC, I think they will be able to find common ground to work with.

Most people prefer to work with people they have had success with in the past. This is hardly nepotism and Schott is more than qualified for the role.
It works out sometimes.

But then you get Nolan, Philbin, Davis.

I think Harris is the only one that has worked out. And that's probably because of DQ.

If Big Mike really wanted to run a WC O, then help Jerry and Son find the best WC OC money can buy.

Nolan is fair but given MM hired DQ after, I think we are okay there.

Philbin seemed to develop Steele, Biadasz and Smith just fine. He is gone but that does not mean it was a bad hire.

Davis was not a position coach as much as a team spirit coach. I don't see what he did wrong.

And you seem intent on pretending that DQ was not a MM hire so you can give credit to him as opposed to the HC. That doesn't hold water particularly since you want to pin Nolan on him.

that seems to be the pattern with Big Mike.

He likes to hire his buddies.
Not a bad trait. That involves familiarity and loyalties proven over time. Smart as adaptability improves as well as team effort. The parts added to this staff have all coached and at some point, been very successful.
