The thing about Purdy is he is small

Keep moving those goalposts!!!

"Team that can get to him"?

Nobody touched Troy with the Great Wall in front of him. When they did, Troy struggled.

But now Purdy has to dominate with trash around him to prove his worth? Something literally no QB does? Sure, dude!

Is Patrick Mahomes the only "elite QB" in the league because he's the only one with a Super Bowl win, besides Stafford?

Purdy has a 110 passer rating in the regular season and a 110 passer rating in the playoffs. That's not elite QB play? He's not elite if he somehow keeps that up for years and years?
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

How many years has he kept it up? If you can't accept that you don't get elected to the Hall of Fame based on a 10 game sample that's on you. He's gotta do more.. Period.

"Nobody touched Troy" - Now that's comical ... considering the Eagles sacked him what was it 11? times in a game in 1991?
And how is it that we got to see Steve Beurlein, Rodney Peete, Jason Garrett, Randall Cunningham and Bernie Kosar play when nobody was touching Troy? Asking for a friend.

Way to cherry-pick parts of those quotes, because if you used my FULL sentences you'd have absolutely zero argument.
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

"When they did, he struggled"

Pretend you accidentally didn't read that part though.

Pretend I didn't say "if Purdy keeps this up for years and years."

That's right, scram.

Trying to cherry-pick parts of a quote because you'd have zero argument otherwise is legit hilarious.

LOL... Remember that old saying? Never match wits with a moron for he will drag you to his level and beat you with experience!

To get to Purdy the Cowboys will need to stop the run.
And get 2 scores ahead ... not necessarily 2 TD's but if it is a low scoring game and we contain their run game then we can go at them with the pass rush. Gotta get to him with 4 though, not 5. They got talent obviously but make them one dimensional and we'll get 'em.

You could be right.. only I don't think Purdy is going to have the benefit of playing in the same division as three of the most incompetent franchise in sports for the better part of two decades. The Rams like to win.. the Seahawks like to win.. the Cardinals are.. well the Cardinals but that Dobbs kid bears watching. If he continues on his current trajectory they could be using that #1 overall pick for a stud defender instead of some "might be good QB."
Add to that scenario Aaron Rodgers on the Packers. Weak azzed division that the meat packers dominated.

Sorry but this sentiment is emanating from your own mind. I have stated on multiple occasions that I think Purdy is VERY good. And that the reason I am examining what we can do to limit him is that I DO consider him to be VERY good. If I thought he was Daniel Jones I'd spend all week talking about McCaffrey and Kittle.
Heres your entire post talking about how small and short he is and cant handle pressure. Intimating players around him do the work for him and showing how inaccurate he is.

Nowhere do u talk about how good you think he is. Lol

I know they list him as 6'1" 220 but I aint buyin that weight. Even at that he's still below average size by modern NFL QB standards. Our pass rush can get to him .. They got to him in the playoff game and the Eagles got to him and knocked him out of the game the following week. The main reason his numbers are as good as they are is his guys catch the ball. The 49ers have a drop rate of 3.7% to 6.1% for the Cowboys. Purdy's off target throw percentage is 13.1% while Dak's is 8.3%. We all have seen for ourselves that our tight ends have to be leading the league in dropped passes as a position group. That absolutely HAS to be better .. this week would be a good time to start!! But back to Purdy.. I wanna see us get in his face and make him make some throws under duress. That's when we'll really get to see what he's made of. Oh and let's hope the refs don't let Trent Williams start backing up two seconds before the snap all game long this time around.

cant wiggle out of this one.

Show me where I mentioned how short he is.. Again that perceived slight is coming from the snakes in your head. I'm not the one who tracks the off target throws. The NUMBERS say he is less accurate than Dak.. so I don't really have to. I don't know how his off target number stack up against the rest of the league.. but it's damn near double of Dak's. So either he's making bad throws under pressure or he's not accurate as a matter of course. I'll leave it to you to decide. And having a drop rate half that of the Cowboys while having double the off target throw rate DOES seem to indicate that he's getting a lot of help. Nothing you or I say will make him any taller or any stouter. He's a good young QB. He may even be the next Joe Montana.. He's just going to have to prove over a larger sample size to get crowned by me. People bent over backwards to discredit Russell Wilson at the start of his career because (stop me if any of this sounds familiar) he was handing off to a top 5 running back, played opposite a top 3 (at worst) defense and receivers who caught everything in their zip code. "He wasn't asked to do much.." was all we would ever hear. Why are people so defensive about the same standard being applied to Purdy? The Cowboys need to get in his face and make him prove he is who you seem to think he is. The last team that did that sent him to an early shower. I am hoping the Cowboys can do the same.

Purdy is your prototypical system QB. Plug in Zach Wilson or Mac Jones into Shanahan’s offense and you’ll have the same success.

Tall task for DQ to find a chink in Kyle Shanahan’s system. Hope he does it though

At the scouting combine Brock Purdy measured just under 61 at 212 pounds. He may have bulked up some for the combine. To say he’s small isn’t true. The only NFL QB that looks small is Bryce Young.

he aint small, big legs, strong neck, that weight is probably a lot of bones density, and ofc hes gonna look small compared to the 250+ pounds 6"5 monsters around him, he will be gone in 5 years, dude is a nobody, completely overrated, thats why Brady or even Manning were so great even with average teams( broncos offence wasnt that good) , those guys made their teams into SB runs. Purdy would be worse than fields in chicago, hate how the media loves him, Mahomes is overrated too, put mahomes in denver or the raiders or Commanders, no way he goes to a SB.

No doubt.. but as I am fond of saying.. every game you play in the league writes another page in the book on you. Teams will figure out how to make him uncomfortable and how to force him to make throws that he's not great at throwing. It's inevitable in the NFL. There were defenses that gave Peyton Manning and Tom Brady fits.. they will do it to Brock Purdy too.
In other words I say he is small and so therefore he is
IN other words I say he will get injured and therefore it will happen
Looked pretty good on Sunday to me

I watched two of their games this year and Brandon Aiyuk catches everything thrown near him. He is like how Dez used to be for Romo.
You can tell Purdy trusts him 1000%. He will just chuck the ball near him and Aiyuk comes down with it. What Purdy is good at is making his decision and trusting that his receivers will make a play for him. That allows him to get the ball out quick and more often than not, his skill players do make a play for him.

You can tell Purdy doesn't have a strong arm because some of these passes look like Cooper Rush duck floaters.
I think we will get an INT or two in this game.
You're right in that Purdy doesn't possess a big power arm, ..but even former Niners QB Jeff Garcia did not have a big arm but he was very productive and made a few pro bowls - they played to his strengths and minimized his limits.
