The thing about Purdy is he is small

One.. it's 9 in a row.. Still two short of the winning streak Dak went on during his rookie season and a ways to go to get to 13. Second.. at no point have I nor anyone else that I've seen said he can't play. In fact it's the opposite. You don't spend time trying to deconstruct and dismantle opponents for whom you do not have a healthy respect. I think Purdy is good. Really good. I'm just not as anxious to call him "great" yet as some. He plays in a system that suits his skillset and style perfectly. Our job is to disrupt that system and make him do things he ISN'T comfortable doing. If we sack him 7 times and knock him down another 10-12 and he still keeps getting up, comes out ballin and carves us up for 3 TDs and 300 yards he will have earned my respect. Can't wait for Sunday!
Cmon, you can do better!

Purdy will look to help the 49ers tie the all-time franchise record for consecutive wins in the regular season (15) when the team hosts Dallas for a primetime ...

Purdy is quick with his decisions and quick with his throw. We're going to have to cover tight and just get into his face. I'd take a sack but pressure will be just as good in this game. Can't let this guy get comfortable.

Our Oline need to be physical and take no prisoners. They have a good front but they are human. Hit them enough they will bend...Move em like an earth mover moves dirt. They will slow down.

I know they list him as 6'1" 220 but I aint buyin that weight. Even at that he's still below average size by modern NFL QB standards. Our pass rush can get to him .. They got to him in the playoff game and the Eagles got to him and knocked him out of the game the following week. The main reason his numbers are as good as they are is his guys catch the ball. The 49ers have a drop rate of 3.7% to 6.1% for the Cowboys. Purdy's off target throw percentage is 13.1% while Dak's is 8.3%. We all have seen for ourselves that our tight ends have to be leading the league in dropped passes as a position group. That absolutely HAS to be better .. this week would be a good time to start!! But back to Purdy.. I wanna see us get in his face and make him make some throws under duress. That's when we'll really get to see what he's made of. Oh and let's hope the refs don't let Trent Williams start backing up two seconds before the snap all game long this time around.
I know Brock Purdy well as he played for my College team, ISU.
I talked to him a time or two at fan events while he was there. He's maybe 6 ft, but no way is he 6ft.1in.
I am 5'10" and he is maybe 2 inches taller than me, but no more than that.

This sounds like you are preparing excuses before the game is played. Pretty sure I can guess why, having already lost twice to these dudes in 20 months and not wanting it to be three. The Eagles knocked him out because they hit his arm as he was throwing - had nothing to do with his size.

As for the percentages, please. I've seen these "Dak is better than this guy because stats" posts a million times. Win the doggone game. Otherwise it's 3 losses in 20 months and we're back here making excuses and convincing ourselves that if they meet up a 4th time in January it'll be different.

Let's hip-drop tackle Purdy from behind and injure him the way they did to our Tony Pollard! Fair is Fair. They owe us!

Ok, then don't watch...since your mind is already made up. You already know who to blame, so don't watch.

He was 6’1 212 at the combine. Those measurements are not inflated.

We harrassed him pretty good last year, even though they won. The problem is definitely the run game. CMC and Deebo are an issue. They use them both in so many ways. Tough challenge this week, no doubt.

By the time we get to him CMC will be 10 yards up the field with the ball.
Is that what happened last year how many times have we played Christian McCaffrey both when he was a Carolina Panther and now last year in the playoff game what was his stats again is that what you're saying you're guaranteeing he's just gonna roll over us for 200 yards because if he's getting 10 yards of carry they're gonna just feed them all game right I mean is that that's what you're saying you you've already predicted this is gonna happen but did you look at the stats for him last year and this was a playoff game he was there he was healthy and what was his stats last year cause but my memory serves me correctly I think he had under 50 yards total for the game rushing anyway.. Thing is they do have other weapons all interchangeable all can do the same thing he's not their only weapon I mean I know you got a key on the guy because right now he's the hot hand but dude you act like we have a bad defense you act like we've never stopped Christian McCaffrey or Kamara or saquon Barkley or players like him we don't have problems with the running backs more so than we have with mobile quarterbacks or offensive schemes that work the edges that's gonna be the bigger problem the quick dump offs they're gonna spread our defense out they're gonna make us where out chasing them all game and then it'll break open it eventually...

This is one of the better teams in the NFL yes we all know it but The thing is with them you gotta stay close you gotta make it a game all game and you gotta play your best game against them and they're gonna think the same thing against us and they think they can make mistakes against our defense or give our offense some openings and we're not gonna take advantage of it people have not been watching we've only lost to this team by less than one both times.. Also if my memory serves me correctly without looking it up I'm betting the last 12 outings between the Cowboys and the Niners we're about six and six right now they've all been pretty tight dog fights till the end it's not like we're outclassed here that's what everybody keeps saying no we've made the most mistakes we've served it up on a platter in 2021, 14 penalties.. And then we had the turnovers last year it just the receivers are not getting open and whatnot we're just gonna have to play a little bit better game and we could beat them it's it's a very slim margin

I believe that loss in Arizona will have us more prepared for this game because they wore us out on the edges I know that purdy's not a mobile quarterback but they use an offense very similar to that like using their skill set players which they have about three or four of them that can take really short passes behind the line of scrimmage and take them for 8 to 10 yards every time they're hard to tackle they will work the edges so in a way we still have that fresh on our mind right I mean you're gonna watch film from the playoff game and we're gonna watch the Niners this year but the biggest thing is the coach just needs to go in and say you remember what happened in Arizona they're gonna test the edges all game until you can stop it this wears out defensive linemans the safeties have to stay in their lanes the corners have to come up and tackle or it's gonna be a long day but this is gonna be a good test just two weeks ago we got burned over and over with a similar type of game plan that's coming we already know it's coming.. In my opinion they do more off tackle and behind the line of scrimmage or short yardage passes much like the West Coast offense we're running right now with the Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy and but they have the skill players that make it work like a well oiled machine..

So in a way that disaster in Arizona should help this team Sunday night outdoors on grass on a team that's gonna work both sides of the defense on the edges all night until you can come up and show you can stop it the blueprints out it's been out for three years now I mean Dan Quinn that defense can be tested on the edges..

Purdy isn’t a great QB, but he doesn’t have to be with the talent around him; all he has to do is make the right read and get rid of the ball on-time and on-target, which he does quite well. He may not have the physical skills of the premiere QBs, but he processes things quickly and makes good decisions with the football.

Dallas needs to shut down the run and make SF pass the ball, so the pass rush can get to him and make him rush his throws.

The loss of Diggs will really be felt in this game as SF has multiple weapons in the passing attack and Dallas cannot afford any breakdowns in coverage.

This is the first game where Dallas will be playing a legitimate offense capable of putting points on the board in a hurry…the defense needs to be on-point.

If this game comes down to a shoot out, I think SF wins as it possesses the more dynamic offense.

He's playing great though. He's arguably playing the best football of anyone right now. I don't get the he's not great comments. I think he will eventually come down to earth because they always do but he ain't did it yet.

Nice try but Purdy has only been the QB in 9 of those games.. Garopolo started the first 5 of the streak. So the TEAM has won 14 in a row.. but he has not been the QB the whole time. Lending further credence to the idea that maybe it's not HIM that is ballin out. They might just be a really REALLY good team. Again not saying he sucks or anything but that team figured some things out about week 6 or 7 last season when they hit bottom being blown out by KC. They haven't looked back since.. Purdy is riding a wave that was gathering steam before he ever got his surfboard out of the car. Good for him.. I hope our defense eats him alive.

I agree, he looks smaller than 6'1". When they rush they should get their hands up. The 49ers always give him a short pass option to get the ball out of his hands quickly. The Cowboys defense needs to take those away from him. That's when the sacks and mistakes will happen.

The 49ers have 4 playmakers on offense. Kittle, CMC, Aiyuk, and Deebo. All these guys can be killers. Plus, their receivers are good run blockers. Stopping their offense is a tall order.

The Cowboys need to be able to move the football and score in the red zone. They need to be tough as nails for this game.
