Don't think you can put this on the short week...

But it wasn't a normal short week. The Eagles had a normal short week... we hadn't the shortest week of all time (I am willing to bet on that). It makes no sense to schedule a team for Sunday night right before they play on Thursday afternoon.

I understand. I also understand that the team and coaches had absolutely no clue today. They won't use the schedule as an excuse (at least publicly)...

An offense run by Romo is never completely smooth. This is why it takes so long to get us going. I just want to see another good QB behind this line and in this scheme. I'm just not going to support this guy anymore, he's a scrub.

It is never smooth. Even when he has good games there are unnecessary hiccups. Granted the team somehow overcomes these hiccups and romo can complete 3rd and long to make up for it but it's just not an offense that I enjoy watching.

It really wasn't. The NFL really screwed up with the scheduling this year. I'm seeing a lot of teams playing division opponents 2 times in 3 weeks and I believe New Orleans played on a Sunday night and then Thursday but it was Thursday night. It's like the NFL didn't really think through the schedule this year.

Even so. Can you say with confidence the team would have done better with an extra day of rest. I can't.

Didn't/couldn't step into his throws leading to lots of ducks.

Just getting tired of the fetal position under pressure. It has been happening since he broke his collarbone.

Take the shot. If it ends your season so be it.

I grew up watching Staubach take a ton of punishment and concussions on a regular basis. I also saw Aikman take a shot under his chin in his rookie year to sell out to make a play in a game that didn't matter.

Romo crumpled under the pressure today.

It was very disappointing to see. Maybe he is trying to "preserve himself" but he should not be in that position.

I don't know maybe. You can't honestly say they wouldn't have done better.

I wonder how many times we would have to play this Eagle team to win a game...

I don't know. I'm not angry or sad like last week. Just aware that the season is kind of over.

I feel like everyone knows the defense needs fixin. But then next year we will lose 17-10 instead of 31-10

No QB can win consistently with the entire game on their shoulders. That includes Brady and Manning. I suppose maybe you could say Rodgers is good with the game entirely on his shoulders, but that is 1 QB out of what, the 150 that have come out of college in the past 10 years? Is it really realistic to believe that even if we were to draft a QB we would strike Rodgers?

Jerry couldn't find a Rodgers if he fell in his lap.

I've seen romo play much much worse. Everyone around him sucked. Including the coaches. The oline was bad. This doesn't even make the top ten of bad romo games. This was a team loss.

Only a fool would blame Romo exclusively.

It was just a bit disappointing to see the ducking when pressured behavior repeating itself.

All in all, the passing offense is in need of real work. It is not Romo-friendly.

It is making him have to make pinpoint back shoulder throws to Bryant or spin around and make a play.

There is no happy in between.

The routes our WRs run from down to down rate a high degree of difficulty to complete. There are few inside options from what I see and rarely do we decide to attack the middle of the field.

I can't say for sure that they would have done better with an extra day's rest... but so many things about how they played today were the total opposite of how they played all year.

1) Generally we are one of the best teams in the league in the second half, especially up front... today... not at all.

2) Even with huge breaks our defense was getting gassed easily.

3) Romo was off with his receivers in a way he hasn't been all year.

A few others I can think of... but those were the main 3 that struck me as weird. You honestly just can't play a tough physical game against a divisional rival on Sunday night and then come back to play on Thursday afternoon and expect to win.

Yeah. But you have to admit 10 points is bad given all the resources put into the offense. And they were at home.

And here is the worst part. Couldn't even get late score with the game out of hand and eagles backing off.

Jerry said they've been putting things in way ahead so the short week means nothing.

"Taking a shot" wouldn't just end Romo's season, it would end the team's as well.

Been saying it for years, this offense and it's play designs are crap. The only thing disguising that fact has been the running game. Get a real offensive mind in here. We have the weapons.

What's going to be the excuse in two weeks? The Eagles and their staff is better than the Cowboys and their staff. We got the crap kicked out of us today. It wasn't because we had a short week. They were the better team and definitely more hyped and ready to play.
They exposed the defense that most of us expected to see all season.
