Been saying it for years, this offense and it's play designs are crap. The only thing disguising that fact has been the running game. Get a real offensive mind in here. We have the weapons.
It is not going to happen. You could get the most creative guy in here and he is working with a QB in Romo who honestly does not have more than two years left in him if he is lucky.
What is so frustrating is that we got a running game, but the passing game has been limited in every conceptual fashion you could imagine. It should not work that way. We just do not utilize what we have effectively and challenge defenses. We basically dare them to stop our best.
It is very arrogant and when it does not work, we have no response other than what you saw today on national television.
We have been running a lot of the same concepts since Garrett walked in ahead of the head coach. It has not changed and it will not change as long as he is the head coach. That is a very very long stretch of continuity that I do not think works well with a league that is constantly evolving.
As much as a lot of people disrespected Kelly's offense for it's "smoke and mirrors", that seemed to do just fine today.
