The tragic comedy that is our beloved team

Much like an Italian opera, this team has become ridiculous to the point of tragic comedy.

Of course, Romo going down on play 3 of a preseason game would be enough to write the entire script but alas the tragic music changes to a hopeful tone as Dak gives us a glimmer of hope. As Cowboys fans this is not our first rodeo. We should know better by now to recognize that this won't end as a tidy happy ending. Then we have the other elements to this comedy:

- Will anything come about of Zeke's accusation? I close one eye every time I read a twitter alert from Ian Rapoport.
- The defense is weak, how about we throw in a mysterious knee injury to Sean Lee?
-You like your two promising defensive linemen you drafted? Let's break one of them's foot and give the other a possible degenerative back condition.
-How about the young defensive ends? Well one is in rehab and the other is suspended for four games.
-Man, that physical MLB sure is a thumper .. Well, what if I told you he is addicted to purple drank and isn't even going to show up for work this year. And the stud we drafted to replace him? He can't raise his foot yet.

It's hard to find optimism these days. What did we do to deserve this?

We didn't do ANYTHING. It's karma working against an ego maniac. I'm a huge Cowboys fan, but I also hope he gets what he deserves. But I think Dak, Zeke and Dez will be the ACTUAL new triplets. I'm torn.

The Cowboys definitely got me more pessimistic on my outlook of the team and I am usually an optimistic person. They have lost every way possible over the last 10 years in gut wrenching ways. Sometimes they even find new ways to lose. It seems like each year they find a more unbelievable way to lose. The Cherry on top was the 2014 season only to lose in heartbreak against Green Bay. Looking back, it seems like the only reason 2014 happened now was to give us hope and bring us back in, then then wrecked us once again in 2015. Before 2014, I was ready to admit they were going to be mediocre for a while then the outlier season of 2014 happened.

It would make it worth it if we had a few more playoff wins to help hide all the painful losses. But outside of 2014, it has been 20 years of pretty much mediocre, poorly managed, missed expectations, false hope and no results.

But this year is the year.....

When this team is winning this year, you two can go root for another team.

Great OL
Promising rookie qb
Great Wr with good compliments around him
Elliot, Morris
Witten and #87
Good return man

A fighter in T. Crawford
McClain
Lawrence
Jones

And you're complaining? Nonsense

More additions to my ignore list
12-4
38-24 on opening day. Giants are not ready for the new Cows. The Romo error is over: We got a real field general! No more leaving gobs of yards and points on the field, the keystone cop has been put out the pasture
Bandwagon will be closed on first kickoff
Read my the sig
Y'all ain't ready
I Know talent when I see talent and this teams IS LOADED. Self pity cowboy fans can't see because of the woe is us tears in their eyes
If the Cowboys have a losing record I will never post here again, and I'll never watch another pro football game again
Dak will be the best qb in this teams history

Haha I have never rooted for another team. Trust me, I will root for them and watch every single game as I have for the last 35 years or so. I'm just tired of seeing negative damn news on this team. I reserve the right to air my grievances. If I can't do so on a forum of fellow Cowboys fans then where can I? Feel free to read my posting history, I am not a JJ/JG basher nor an agenda driven poster. I just say it like I see it from my perspective. We all were depressed after the Romo/Dez injuries last season. I just think it's cruel and unusual punishment to see Tony go down again after an off-season of healing and growing optimism.

We don't know if our defense is weak. We haven't seen it play to full strength. Even with Lawrence out 1st 4 games.

I think we do know the defense is weak. We are not even sure who will be available for the Giants game.

Accident waiting to happen. :(

Now is the time for excitement though.

Let's at least wait until we see the team do bad this year.

You had me at "The Romo error is over" but lost me, mate, at Dak being the greatest. Hyperbole is best based on reality and not prospectus.

No one thought much of the team going into 2014. I usually wait until week 16 to judge.
