I'm also excited to see what this season has in store. It does seem that when uncertainty prevails and expectations are tempered we tend to do better than when expectations are sky high. If anything, it will be fun to watch Dak and Zeke grow into their own. 10 more days until it starts...

I joked about it a few days ago but now I'm going with it: The age of the Romo is over (for now); the time of the Dak has come -- a little early but here, nonetheless -- and we can appreciate what he offers or lament what was lost. I choose the former.

- Will anything come about of Zeke's accusation? I close one eye every time I read a twitter alert from Ian Rapoport.
- The defense is weak, how about we throw in a mysterious knee injury to Sean Lee?
-You like your two promising defensive linemen you drafted? Let's break one of them's foot and give the other a possible degenerative back condition.
-How about the young defensive ends? Well one is in rehab and the other is suspended for four games.
-Man, that physical MLB sure is a thumper .. Well, what if I told you he is addicted to purple drank and isn't even going to show up for work this year. And the stud we drafted to replace him? He can't raise his foot yet.

1. No.
2. They aren't as weak as people think.
3. Such is life when you're playing a game that involves 300lb men crashing into eachother.
4. Randy Gregory won't be missed, because he was gone anyway. Tank Lawrence is needed.
5. Nope. Just not that concerned about it. Hopefully Nzeocha can heal up and get back - he was looking great.

When this team is winning this year, you two can go root for another team.

Great OL
Promising rookie qb
Great Wr with good compliments around him
Elliot, Morris
Witten and #87
Good return man

A fighter in T. Crawford
McClain
Lawrence
Jones

And you're complaining? Nonsense

More additions to my ignore list

38-24 on opening day. Giants are not ready for the new Cows. The Romo error is over: We got a real field general! No more leaving gobs of yards and points on the field, the keystone cop has been put out the pasture
Bandwagon will be closed on first kickoff
Read my the sig
Y'all ain't ready
I Know talent when I see talent and this teams IS LOADED. Self pity cowboy fans can't see because of the woe is us tears in their eyes

I have followed the club since the 60's and it has always been a roller coaster ride..exciting but with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. After a great beginning the Jones era has been disappointing. At this time it seems the club is finally heading in the right direction.

How many more negative thread titles must we endure....

I know fans want to express their opinion. But there seems to be way more negative threads started than ever. I get the 20 years, and this reason, and that reason. But now right before the season is starting, there seems to be a huge solar flare of negativity threads.

I am just as bummed as the next fan, as I hope Dak can do in the regular season, as he has done in his 3 games in the PS. But Tony will be back. And Dak has shown he should be better than what was trotted out there last year. We have Zeke, Dez is back, the OL playing with a boulder on their shoulder. Another suspect Defense, that will be better than people think. Well, they should not be any worse at least. Which was the middle of the pack the last 2 years.

I am a bit nervous about the start of the season. but excited also.
now I could start a positive thread on this but it would get derailed right away, they always do. Maybe that is why there are so many negative threads. They just get bashed. So maybe we need an uprising, and smash the negativity threads.....:D

And yes, we mention the preseason as the PS....but soon with Dak / Tony wins, the PS will mean the Post Season, when we start that SB run.....

Much like an Italian opera, this team has become ridiculous to the point of tragic comedy.

Of course, Romo going down on play 3 of a preseason game would be enough to write the entire script but alas the tragic music changes to a hopeful tone as Dak gives us a glimmer of hope. As Cowboys fans this is not our first rodeo. We should know better by now to recognize that this won't end as a tidy happy ending. Then we have the other elements to this comedy:

- Will anything come about of Zeke's accusation? I close one eye every time I read a twitter alert from Ian Rapoport.
- The defense is weak, how about we throw in a mysterious knee injury to Sean Lee?

It's hard to find optimism these days. What did we do to deserve this?

Most teams have some version of a soap opera going on and ours seems to be snake bitten, but there are reasons for long term optimism with Dak and Zeke and a slowly rebuilding defense. I think the defense will be better this year, not quite playoff quality, but better. The rookie QB will have his struggles but you have to take the bad with the good, at least we have a promising rookie to put out there. The team will be competitive this year and could be in the running for a playoff spot as it's going down the home stretch, so there are things to be glad about. :)

Yes. The club is building some great potential and finally there is real positives to be optimistic about. Too me the club is heading in the right direction. Elliott is going to be a great Cowboy and the club has the best OL in the NFL. Stiffen up the defense and the road ahead looks good. I see the game from the defensive side and thats what will kill the club this year and that should be the focus in the next couple of drafts depending on how Prescott works out.

Yes, this is Dak's interview for QB of the future. At least we can find out now, as opposed to waiting for 3 years, and wondering if the team passes on 3 chances at getting another QB if needed.
Jerry could think, we have our guy, we don't need that #1 QB that fell to us......
So these next 4 to 6 games could be a blessing in disguise for the future, even if it means a few learning curve losses.

And yes, Defense needs to be the focus more so than ever.

LOL...more like a "Greek Tragedy" don't you think??? Heroic on certain level but always undone by some sort of fatal flaw...

can people stop saying Romo went down on the third play of the preseason. He played two drives vs. Miami and got hit in the mouth and got right up and was fine.

ESPN keeps doing this also, Everytime I watch the channel they are talking about this and keep mentioning he only lasted 3 plays.
