Clever enough to spell it "you're" and not the pedestrian "your" at the very least. I will follow this up, when I find my glasses, old fellow!

When this team is winning this year, you two can go root for another team.

Great OL
Promising rookie qb
Great Wr with good compliments around him
Elliot, Morris
Witten and #87
Good return man

A fighter in T. Crawford
McClain
Lawrence
Jones

And you're complaining? Nonsense

More additions to my ignore list

38-24 on opening day. Giants are not ready for the new Cows. The Romo error is over: We got a real field general! No more leaving gobs of yards and points on the field, the keystone cop has been put out the pasture
Bandwagon will be closed on first kickoff
Read my the sig
Y'all ain't ready
I Know talent when I see talent and this teams IS LOADED. Self pity cowboy fans can't see because of the woe is us tears in their eyes
If the Cowboys have a losing record I will never post here again, and I'll never watch another pro football game again
Dak will be the best qb in this teams history
Certainly a different view than the OP.

I appreciate your optimism and hope you're right...i really do...i always see your list of defensive proof points are WAY SHORTER than the offensive side of the ball...lol...just sayin'...
More good players on offense. Think we have enough on D though! I wouldn't call it optimism. I only call what my eyes and gut tell me.

Yeah. My eyes and gut tell me that I am going to be screaming at the TV during close games in the 4th yelling "get him!!!" As the opposing QB sits back and checks his watch before completely a back breaking throw for a first down or TD.

Again - I hop I'm wrong. I am still very excited about the season tho and have a line on tickets for when we play the Niners as I live in the SF Bay Area.

I think that's better than 2014. We'll see

Yes. And frankly I think Rod flat out needs to blitz more. I like our chances with Oscan back in the mix and Jones a year more mature. Moreover, #24 seems to be finally coming into his own. Perhaps not 6th in the draft level but at least reliable. Carr is what he is.

going into 2014 after releasing Ware, I was as pessimistic as I've been as a fan. And midway through the season I was as optimistic as I've been lol.

Starting from the catch that never was and leading into the offseason and losing Demarco, signing Hardy, on to losing Dez and Romo has been the worst stretch I can remember as a fan. Truly exhausting. I won't share my feelings leading into this season, but I'm anxious to see it.

Have you actually watched our defense? The Jones gang has very few hits & a lot of misses the last 20 drafts when it comes to the defense. Not once have we had a top 3 defense since Jimmy left. Defense wins Super Bowls, but Jerry has drafted few players on that side of the ball in the 1st round over the last 2 decades who were worth anything. Greg Ellis, Roy Williams, Terrance Williams, & DeMarcus Ware are the only ones that come to my mind, & they're all gone. Gotta do so much better than that, Jerry.

i think its funny, that the two sides in this conversation, (tastes great = I see this offense carrying this team and look at the offense, look at the offense look at that freaking awesome offense, vs the less filler = this defense is going to get shredded so many different ways the cowboys will trot out matadors to entice the bulls to get their yards however they wish) yet and this is the best part, both sides refuse to talk about special teams. Take either side you wish, and good luck to you, but no one wants to touch our special teams.

and yes, this is pure fact, i dont care how optimistic you want to make the board, i dont care how pessimistic one gets after beer, food and a loss. Over all dont care, and il double down, i dont even care of your stats, you can sit down in the basement for 20 years and tell me every stat that matters, and you can pull out 5 calculators, the computer you built just to handle the numbers and your logic, and i care even less about the tools you used. The only thing that matters at the end of the last whistle of the season is the record, and for the past 20 plus years, those records have dictated the state of the cowboys. Anything else is opinion. At the end of the game the only two things that matter is the score and your record. A win is a win, is a win. And a loss is just that.
Actually for anyone who wants to get their Ph D's in stats, ask Marino what he wanted more, all his stats that he gets endorsements off of, or one glorious day to hoist that trophy in the air and declare to the world that "you are the best and all the stats dont matter".

Also if any of the people good at video, can someone find me a player hoisting the Lombardi saying "such and such statistic totally made this happen, I hold this trophy because some stat said I COULD DO IT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And let me point this other fact out, I dont care how much you tell me the team is stacked with talent. You can take the combine stats, the nfl stats, the college stats and cram it. Where our biggest failures come from is not the players, it has been the coaches. Some coaches are just going to have to work harder this year, and some are still going to get a check. Simple. Your pets cat really arent going to make a difference if the coaches dont play to their strengths, As i said a few years ago, as ill say this year, Witten doesnt have to start, he and the team wont be receiving wins just because we made him the starter. There will be no parade for it. Hate to crush your dreams on that.

For me , Dak is our guy, so get the players hes comfortable with. Its hard to say as a Romo fan and i dont want to jump on the bus because someone told me but as i stated, hes not getting younger and hes not going to take us to another level. Hes magic, hes clutch but its time to have the talk with him. I would roll the dice we arent making the Super Bowl, so take yet another year off, (its not like we arent used to it) and give Dak time. Holding on to Romo will just show we as a team cant let go of the past. That time has come. I dont want post aikman part deux all over again. Put into Dak and change the scenery of the Cowboys.

We should also take this reminder, we are all fans, regardless of what side of the fence we are on, and thats ok, we all love the wins and we all punch something with the loses. Dont forget that. No personal attacks are necessary and remind the person you are argueing with that you disagree with them but respect their opinion. I have some people that disagree with me and they have charts to prove it, and rules, and some have better debates, but all that matters is the score and the record.

I have said this before and ill say it again. Everyone , everyone is a genius until the ball is kicked, than no one has a clue. We dont know who will make that magical play, who will have a hot game, who does the wrong thing at the right time and people are scrambling to see if thats a stat. We wont know what is going to happen. For example, Cowboys vs Giants, toss your stats. I have seen bad Giant teams beat good Cowboy teams and vice versa.

Thats all for now. Thank you.
