I know people hate SAS but he's right. "A disaster waiting to happen".
Disaster has already happened, buddy. It happened in 2015, it happened this 2016 pre-season/TC, it happened in 2013, 2012.... Even in 2014, when Sean Lee and D.Lawrence were lost for the season, D.Ware went to Broncos, new DC and OC were appointed, Spencer coming back from IR, JJ Wilcox and Hayden being starters, etc. We still made a 12-4 season out of it. No season is perfect outside of the 2007 Patriots. That team seemed to have horseshoes up their rear until the SB. The rest of the teams, they have their ups and downs. We'll go through ups and downs.

I think I'll wait until the season actually starts and we have a few games before hitting the panic button. It's amazing how willing some people are to give up before preseason is even over.

Then you should do something about it. But we all know the Cowboys have the worst fans--I have read that here many times--so, I guess they are getting what THEY deserve....
Yes, I will make some phone calls today?

You can't even make up your mind who you are. Which one of you deserves what?

You, old fellow, obviously, are comfortable with the sinking ship. And that is too bad. Enjoy Good the scraps the Joneses toss at you.

Much like an Italian opera, this team has become ridiculous to the point of tragic comedy.

Of course, Romo going down on play 3 of a preseason game would be enough to write the entire script but alas the tragic music changes to a hopeful tone as Dak gives us a glimmer of hope. As Cowboys fans this is not our first rodeo. We should know better by now to recognize that this won't end as a tidy happy ending. Then we have the other elements to this comedy:

- Will anything come about of Zeke's accusation? I close one eye every time I read a twitter alert from Ian Rapoport.
- The defense is weak, how about we throw in a mysterious knee injury to Sean Lee?
-You like your two promising defensive linemen you drafted? Let's break one of them's foot and give the other a possible degenerative back condition.
-How about the young defensive ends? Well one is in rehab and the other is suspended for four games.
-Man, that physical MLB sure is a thumper .. Well, what if I told you he is addicted to purple drank and isn't even going to show up for work this year. And the stud we drafted to replace him? He can't raise his foot yet.

It's hard to find optimism these days. What did we do to deserve this?

it didn't seem like you tried hard at all

Haha I have never rooted for another team. Trust me, I will root for them and watch every single game as I have for the last 35 years or so. I'm just tired of seeing negative damn news on this team. I reserve the right to air my grievances. If I can't do so on a forum of fellow Cowboys fans then where can I? Feel free to read my posting history, I am not a JJ/JG basher nor an agenda driven poster. I just say it like I see it from my perspective. We all were depressed after the Romo/Dez injuries last season. I just think it's cruel and unusual punishment to see Tony go down again after an off-season of healing and growing optimism.

what's weird to me is Iam more excited about this season than in a while.
we got holes except for the very best teams, teams do have holes .It's the new era.
the arrow is pointing up. you see it every draft
we didn't sign a stud D.E. well thats a good thing if You want long range planning
if you want short term satisfaction maybe not as much or no improvement at all.
Thats want Jones got for his money 5-10 years ago for his big splash signings,

You're not a fan. Dak will make all those other problems go away. Yes, just Dak can do all that, all by himself. He's going to play defense too, and make every tackle in every game. And Zeke? He's rushing for 6300 yards this season and the Cowboys will win super bowl 51 by a score of 97-0. Dak will win MVP of the universe and it won't be close.

I'm also excited to see what this season has in store. It does seem that when uncertainty prevails and expectations are tempered we tend to do better than when expectations are sky high. If anything, it will be fun to watch Dak and Zeke grow into their own. 10 more days until it starts...
