GB agrees w/ you.The Cowboys are one of the best drafting teams in the league. That's a fact.

Yes, to back up Zach Wilson. You forgot to add, a 4th for a bust. Once a player gets in the league, where they were drafted is irrelevant. Jamarcus Russell was the #1 pick, want him too?
JimmyG over Dak.Quite possible. After giving up so much, Niners desperately wanted him to play. I'm not a Niners fan so I have no idea, but it's common for a young QB to be handed a starting position w/o earning it.
Late October 2018_ Cowboys obtained Cooper by sending their 2019 1st round pick to the Raiders.Didn't they spend a first or a second to get him?
Everybody in the NFL does. It's a fact.GB agrees w/ you.
The same people who originally crapped on the trade are still doing so. Yall make valid points, but considering Dak might be gone I'm highly interested in seeing what the inexperienced blue chipper can do before I partake. I realize there's a STRONG chance he sucks, but it's also possible his extremely limited experience held him back a lot, as well as the system may not have been to his comfort level.A 4th for a 3rd-string scrub QB is awful.. You can't dispute that FACT that he IS a 3rd-string backup backup.
Maybe that's their plan. Next year's going to be so bad that at some point they'll have to put Trey in just to see what he is. lolI don't have much faith in Trey because I trust Shanahan when it comes to evaluating talent BUT since he's here we should let him at least PLAY before making a real judgement on him.
They better start taking the quarterback position seriously in Dallas. Drafting qbs only 4th or worse is management malpractice.....and this applys to when Romo was here too so its not Dakcentric
What GM would trade for a 3rd-string QB, making $5M occupying a much-needed roster spot other than Jerry?Cowboys need to trade Trey Lance and get a 4th round pick back. Too many holes to fill in 2023 and not enough draft picks. It doesn't get any more ignorant than carrying a 3rd string QB, paying him more ($5 mil) than your backup ($3 mil) and occupying a much needed roster spot once again...just because the owner is a fool who caves to the hordes of Dak haters.
He just needs to sit and watch for another year and he will be ready. Phenoms take 5 years to develop. Why hasn’t Trey Lance played for Dallas yet? If he’s a bonafide option shouldn’t he be named QB1? If not now, when? What are the Cowboys waiting for?
Wasted money.A 4th for the 3rd pick overall in the 2021 draft?
That trade is money.
Honestly it can't get much worse, unless we end up resigning him after watching him sit for 2 years.I still don;t see how trey lance pick "gets worse".
I'm dense I KNOW sheesh!.
He was never a blue chipper. The same people who originally crapped on the trade are still doing so. 3rd pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft. He was never a blue chipper.
and still a 3rd-string scrub3rd pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft.
He took JimmyGs job.and still a 3rd-string scrub
Cooper Rush took his jobHe took JimmyGs job.
He broke his hand and then his leg.maybe this is the year where Trey can say, "I'm ready to plan now, I'm a big dude, or this is the year, I promise" Those statements sound familiar. The first one will be after he gets a big deal.
