The two options I see at OT

I agree completely. I think it comes fine to what resources they want to give up?
  1. Cap space (Fisher)
  2. Draft capital (Little)
Assuming of course that Jacksonville would part with Little.

Here’s an interesting thought, what about BOTH? Fisher for the short term and Little for the long term?

Yep, I agree and just in general if they assess the situation honestly, 2 ARE needed to guard against further injury depth problems that could arise later.

- Eric Fisher. Been discussed ad nauseum. You are gonna over pay him, because he wants money and really he is mediocre. But he is also just enough on the right side of mediocre of have played LT on two Super Bowl teams. I think he is the best option if you want Tyler to eventually be your LT. I really dont think you want Smith there in 2022

-Walker Little. Talented and only 23. Supposedly the Cowboys are very high on him. Plays the one position Jacksonville is actually strong at, so may be attainable. Downside is, its gonna cost you in draft compensation. They arent just going to give him away. It will probably cost a 2nd and maybe another pick. However that could also bring in your long term LT
We may not like it, but everything coming out is they

The more I hear Jerry/Stephen talk, Tyler Smith is moving to LT and probably a veteran backup is added for depth purposes. They aren't going to overpay for a very average tackle nor give up a premium pick for one as they believe they already drafted their future tackle this yr.

I liked Little a lot when he was at Stanford. Would require a good pick and it’s not certain he is capable of being a legit lt

I think so. If they actually think that this team is capable of accomplishing anything this year.

I really don’t think Tyler Smith is ready and I think if they put him out at left tackle now he’ll struggle badly and it might ruin him.

I’m not interested in Fisher….go with what you’ve got.
I’m also not giving a 2nd round pick for a player with no starting experience.

Totally agree. Send the petition bro, if you need signatures I'm first on your list.

The defense looks to possibly be a contender.
Jerry and company gotta see this.
They gotta make the OL FA moves to prove to us fans they're serious.

Tbh long term I think I would rather see Tyler at RT or LG. He could develop into a LT, but I think those positions suit him playstyle well

If they do, that would be awful. Goodbye season and 40 million a year QB

A lot of offers for a guy that can’t play, no?

I’d give up a second if it means a potential left tackle option. How about you?
Let's face it, we are likely drafting an
OT or OG in the 1st or 2nd rounds next year. Why not get ahead of the curve and get Little this year?

A huge risk that can backfire........leaving a scar on the player or season or both.

I didn’t know anything about Walker Little but he sounds interesting. Still went early 2nd round despite not playing final two seasons of college. Was on track to go 1st overall before that. Sounds like Jags got a steal. So then why would they trade him? And why hasn’t he secured a starting role yet?

I would give a 2nd rounder for Walker Little. A 1st round prospect with a year of NFL experience (started 3 games as rookie and played 9). It’ll be interesting what to do if/when Smith comes back. You probably don’t wanna replace Steele if they view him as the RT of the future. Do you wanna take away experience from your top two prospects (Little and Tyler Smith) if they’re both playing well? You don’t replace Martin. The only real replaceable player is Biadasz but you’d have to shift around the entire OL to squeeze Tyron back in. In other words, a trade for Walker Little would be a move toward the future, and then it could get messy trying to insert Tyron back into the roster.

Heck why not give up a second Jerry usually uses that on some dope head or injured player anyway that doesn't work out.

Or geez how could I forget someone involved in a shooting.

Brian Baldinger was just on NFLN talking about the Bengals OL issues last season and how they tried to adjust it this off season.

He said teams at this time need to find the answers from within. There is really no one out there that a team can just go out and get to improve their OL.

So teams are looking and in the same situation. I wonder if their fans are throwing out the same names and trade ideas as on here.

I am not disregarding anything posted on here. I am just putting out there what he said.
