I thought we did when we went out and mortgaged the future on RW11.

The thing I hate most about it is that we where told by the owner that there wasn't any receiver in the draft that would make an immediate impact. Well those very players are making huge impacts for their teams while Roy is still trying to get in sync. I mean come on....he is supposed to be a professional. How long does it take to be able to connect on a routine pass, 3 years?

Percy Harvin is ridiculous.

Maybe Garrett needs to change the offense to work with the fact that Romo is one of most blizted QB in the league.

We are blitzed so much because our OL is terrible at picking it up and often one man comes in completely clean when they blitz two players even though the player should be picked up. Garrett and Houck have to got to get that down with our OL. Maybe our OL are too stupid.

One part of me suspects that our best OL right now might be (from left to right):

Crabtree is looking solid too. Since we're talking about WR's that had no shot of landing in Dallas.

Or maybe the Cowboys just faced 2 pretty good defenses the last couple of weeks?
Take the blinders off, Mick.

SF was able to put some points up today against the same GB defense that essentially shut Dallas out last week. So did Minnesota (twice), Cincinnati and Miami.

And when Washington hasn't been playing someone of the Raiders/Chiefs/Bucs ilk, their D has been flattened. The Broncos were doing it to them last week before Orton got hurt.

The Dallas offense has been awful the last 2 weeks. Anyone who thinks they're going to roll over the Raiders may be in for a big surprise Thursday.

friggin' Hakeem Nicks went at 29

and we probably would have made a move for Maclin if we had a 1st, I think that was some of the rumblings on draft day

We traded pick 20 to the Lions. Maclin was taken 19th and Harvin was taken 22nd with Nicks taken 29th. if we didn't mortgage to get Roy, there is a good chance we would have gotten Nicks or maybe even Maclin with a trade up.

Your thread title might as well have read in defense of Bin Laden because you're getting nowhere with this over here.

You know, that is pretty stupid to equate anybody in the NFL with that coward loony bins laden.

Let's have some comparative sanity for once.

newnation will defend Roy to the hilt so you're not going to get anywhere there. That's a total waste of your good breath.

We could have had Nicks. Obviously.

Maclin was off the board when we drafted. Unless you can guarantee me that we'd have traded up for him... he is a moot point.

But Bleu never mentioned either of those players. He mentioned Harvin. Who was removed from our draft board, therefore, wasn't going to be a Cowboy. So I mentioned Crabtree, who was taken before we picked, who also wasn't going to be a Cowboy.

we would have traded out of the first round.

Yeah.. We're good for that... Just like we're good for 12,000 delayed draw plays in a season.

Where am I backtracking?

LOL....

You mentioned Harvin.

Then you quoted me.

Then you quoted me the draft order. Which is irrelevant because even had we had our 1st rounder, with Harvin off our board, he wouldn't have been a Cowboy.

So I threw in Crabtree, because if you are going to bemoan a WR that had no chance of being a Cowboy, I figure I can too...

Take a second (and a deep breath)

#20 goes bye bye when the Cowboys acquire RW11. That's shaping up to be possibly one of the worst day 1 trades ever. Harvin could have been a Cowboy. I don't care if he was or was not on our draft board. I can't account for the idiocy that can sometimes permeate a war room. Harvin could have been a Cowboy. Period.

Be happy with the knowledge that he was off our board though. What exactly does that prove? Please explain.

Your boy definitely caused a slight shift in your little sig stat line today. :lmao2: His longest TD from scrimmage today... He really looked over the hill too on that one. :laugh2:
