His job isn't on the line, and you're going to be one disappointed fan soon and for many years.

Book it.

I was being sarcastic. No, I don't think the Eagles are absolutely stupid to fire Chip Kelly.

And it isn't such a magical prediction to think Garrett is going to be here long-term. The fact that he is still here is enough testament to this fact, coupled by Jerry's loyalty to multiple scrubs in this organization, from Jason's father who couldn't coach worth a jock as exemplified in his record wherever he went to keeping guys like Kiffen, because they he feared Marinelli would bolt, if Kiffen was fired. As long as Jerry can surround him with a bunch of baby-sitters and spin it, that Jason is actually doing something good, Jason will be here spitting on the sidelines and signaling one-point conversions after every TD Romo throws or Murray runs.

Oh, now my prediction from 4 years ago is "magical."

The baby sitters line is a hoot.

Wow, your pretty full of yourself to think that you possess such 'prfound' insight in this regard, long that Garrett was going to be here long term. Garrett-haters have been lamenting this reality for as long as you've been 'predicting' he was going to be here that long.

I laugh at the idea I made some kind of magical prediction and it means I am full of myself?

Uh, okay.

You're delusional.

I can see them losing to the Giants because they can't cover OBJ.

I'd love it if they lose 3 straight because I can see the Philly fans and the media absolutely losing their minds over the stupid Eagles absolutely collapsing.

One loss and now the Eagles are collapsing? Okay.

It's two straight losses at a time when good teams should be winning those games to put distance between themselves and other teams.

If the situations were reversed and Dallas had been the team in the drivers seat after Thanksgiving only to lose their next two, including one against the Eagles, you better believe that fans here would be talking about how Garrett sucks, Romo is choking, the team is collapsing.

I guess that doesn't apply when it's other teams though.

Lol, he's not getting fired. But I sure wouldn't mind Kelly pulling a Saban and going back to the college ranks early. I think he's the type who doesn't have the NFL any higher in esteem than college.

You may be on to something here. At first he didn't want the Philly job, then was talked into it. It won't be this offseason. But if he has to go into next year with Foles and/or Sanchez he might get frustrated enough to go back to college. He can write his own cheque if he were to go back. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but stranger things have happened.

Not too many people get frustrated after having two double digit win seasons in a row (assuming they manage to win one if not both of Wash and NY games).

Plus I think Sanchez played himself off the team Sunday. Foles will probably keep the seat warm for someone they draft/develop next season.

Best case scenario IMO for an early Chip Kelly return to college is if he loses the locker room because a bunch of millionaires get tired of being worked like college kids, but even that will only happen if they start losing.

This is some thread. I would love to see what Dallas record would be with their backup Mr Weeden for a good portion of the season

When you predict 11-5 for the last 10 plus seasons as some here do, eventually you have to be right based on the laws of statistics, physics and other worldly things

Bad enough that Stryker is an Eagles fan... but he's also one of those knee jerk types that want the only good thing about that team (chip kelly) fired.

Somebody mentioned it earlier: There is a possibility LeSean McCoy may be cut. He is due something like $14M in each of the next 3 years. He's the guy who makes that offense go.

You mean I was actually serious that you made a 'magical' prediction?

Why would Jones want Marinelli - a broken defeated man after the only 0-16 season in NFL history, over Kiffin?

Not an Eagles fan - just astounded at how complacent they became after running off the 24 straight points. If they miss the playoffs after starting 9-3, no way does Kelly survive.

They didn't become complacent. They just aren't good enough to keep up scoring on every possession. Dallas actually had time to get ready for that offense and the defense played better than a couple weeks before.

Frankly it's ludicrous to think that Lurie would fire Chip kelly.

He fired Andy Reid, the greatest coach the franchise has ever had.

Actually I think DeSean Jackson was the guy who made it go. Which is why McCoy hasn't been nearly as effective this year. They lost that speed dynamic that teams had to respect on every down.

I don't think McCoy's long for Philadelphia. There are rumblings he's on his way out as the team just doesn't believe in paying huge dollars on a long term contract extension for a RB.
