I'm not getting a new console for a while so I need some PS4 game recommendations. I just finished Ghost of Tshusima (which was awesome). I'm not really into pure shooters like COD because they make me motion sick and I kinda suck. What else do you guys enjoy?

Horizon Zero Dawn. If you enjoy an open world game, this one is fantastic. (assuming you haven't played it before)

I like RPGs and have played these on PC and liked them and noticed they are on PS4 as well.
Dragon Quest 11
Kingdom Come Deliverance
And of course there is always the Witcher 3 and Skyrim.

I played a little of one of the first Witcher games and couldn't really get into it but I loved Skyrim. Are the Witcher games standalone in the sense that you can play them without playing the predecessors?

Thanks, man. My daughter loves the Witcher series so I may just start with the latest.

I have played all 3, the first was a good game. 2 improved everything about the first and was better but 3 knocks everything outta the park. The game world is huge and really opens up after you finished the starting area, White Orchard.
If you wanted something more realistic and no fantasy/magic check out Kingdom Come Deliverance. A very realistic medieval RPG that at times that be VERY difficult.

I appreciate this so much. Your guy's opinions really matter a lot. I feel kindred spirits here.

I'm in the same boat. I'll wait until early next year to buy one of the new consoles. I've always been a PS guy but I admit that the new Xbox is intriguing. They still won't send us dev kits though. We're required to be backwards compatible and can't even test it out yet.

I’ve always been a Xbox guy but I flipped too PS.

The haptic feedback just has so much potential. I’d rather put Xbox money towards a new computer and just buy their gamepass if they come out with something PlayStation doesn’t have.

I don’t see the intrigue to buy an Xbox and I’m a Xbox guy.

Downloaded Titanfall 2 last night. I've never played it. Big mistake. Didn't go to bed until 430am.

The campaign on that game was absolutely fantastic. The multiplayer, while fun and I did enjoy it, came up short for me as a Titanfall fan. The first Titanfall had a much better multiplayer experience IMO.

Not to try and pee in your cheerios or anything. Just saying if you like the multiplayer side of that game and come across Titanfall 1 for cheap, snag it up.

Totally fair my man. I've been against Xbox, mainly from a dev side but I am curious about the new one. I'll wait until I see that to make a decision. I do need a new PC sometime soon also.

I would say Witcher 3 is nothing like the first few in terms of approachability; I didn't totally vibe with part 2 but part 3 is a generational type game that roped me in within the first few minutes. Story was really good but gameplay is also smooth with the horse and in combat.

Horizon Zero Dawn was great too; the combat is especially fun with the bow in a cyber tech future. The enemies are different types of cyborgs so the way you would finish them off was really creative. The female lead doesn't come into play either, you half forget or root for her as "your girl" kinda similar to Lara Croft, etc.

Both were 10s in my book along with Ghost you just played. God of War is my chime in as another 10 worthy..Days Gone if you got a zombie fix. (more 8/10 but I really liked it)

I was **this** close to downloading this game, but I decided to download and play Uncharted 4 since I'm so far behind on these games. I figure I have to do do these games since I'm not going to get a PS5 in the near future.

Great stuff man. I probably would not have played Ghost without your recommendation. This is an awesome thread! So much better than arguing about the state of the Cowboys. The female lead doesn't bother me. I loved The Last of Us 2.

Uncharted 4 was also a great game. Beautiful game at that. I really enjoyed just looking at that game as I was playing it.
