I picked up Mike Tyson's Punch Out again this week. One of my all-time favorite games!! Kids today have no idea how tough games were back in the day. Haha

Check out this YouTube series I found a while back. It’s long, so maybe put it on in the background while you’re working on something else.

The tricks people find with speed runs are insane. Stuff like finding out that if you time your punch to an exact frame it does x5 damage for whatever unknown reason.

This Punch Out one is one of the best videos.

I saw this story and all I can say is wow. What's crazy is they are making so much money and Fortnite is so popular that I don't think this really changes that much for them. It's hard to wrap my brain around the money that is involved with these games.
What do you think about what's going on with Dwarf Fortress right now?
I'm just in love with it and I was a fan before, but their success story right now...
So deserved.

I really liked playing that game. In fact, I've enjoyed playing them all, even the very first one way back in the day.
First one is an all-time classic. I remember staying up late playing that game back in the day. There are times I miss the days of simple gaming like that.

Between Wolfenstein and Doom, I have some good gaming memories. They actually have the old Doom games on Xbox Gamepass.

Those days of "simple gaming" were because we were 15 years or so younger. A lot of the time i used to have to invest in Video Games seems more scarce the older i get

Today is the 25th anniversary of Gran Turismo. Crazy. That game left a huge impression on me as a kid. I'll never forget playing that game, comparing what races and licenses you completed with your friends, being introduced to JDM cars, fascinating levels of car customizing, and learning how to drive your favorite vehicles with the simulator style driving mechanics. The graphics, while very primitive by today's standards, were really amazing for their day. It has to be one of the most influential racing games ever made. Twenty five years ago..............it blows my mind where the time goes anymore.

I'll have to fire up GT7 today just to honor the franchise.

My Xbox one finally bit the dust a few weeks ago so I gave in and bought an Xbox X Series console. I like that they left the home screen layouts the same, it makes it really easy to navigate around and the Quick Resume feature is really nice.

It is a good time of the year to pick up some cheap games, I got a few sports games like Fifa, F1, and NHL, plus got this one for 10 bucks. Not usually a big fan of superhero or sci-fi games but I am addicted to it already. A great mix of action and platform action. With it snowing outside and me off work, have a feeling I am going to be spending the next few days on the couch playing.

Just looked this up. Looks interesting and has me a bit intrigued.
It's a puzzle game similar to Lara Croft Go or Hitman Go and good reviews too.

I couldn't agree more. Wolfenstein 3D was my favorite. Probably my first FPS.

Same. id Software created most of my first PC games. Them and 3D Realms.

So I bought ER for PS5. After I finish Ragnarok this week I'll play that. I was wondering will I be lost without playing the other Dark Souls/Bloodbourne/Sekiro games first? Should I go back and play one of them before starting ER?
