Anyone play Black Myth: Wukong? My buddy loves Souls like games and I was watching him play. This game is like 90% boss fights lol. It's like there is very little middle game and you are always in a big epic battle with what would be considered a boss of some sort. hah

Early Meta's for Veilguard seem mixed, but slanted positive. Which seems pretty classic Bioware. In their heyday, after Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age Origins, their games tended to be uneven, but still very very good. They had a tough decade after the DAI launch with Andromeda and Anthem bombing. I watched a couple video reviews with gameplay, and from what Ive seen it looks incredible. Combat looks more like it integrated the Mass Effect party system into DA.

It looks like it will be 100 hours for completionists. I went back and looked up my farthust DAI playthrough and it was about 120 hours with three DLC completed. So even without being "fully open world" , you are getting the same amount of content as DAI

I got COD Black Ops 6 free with Game Pass. I haven't played COD in a long time, but enjoying it. A big learning curve for an old man like me, but I got to a breakeven KD ratio pretty quickly. My hand/eye coordination is much worse than the 15 year olds, so I will always be mediocre, but it's a good time waste.

I used to always play those games, but with age catching up with me and the rampant cheating. I don't enjoy it so much anymore. Mostly now I stick to DOOM and Quake and play story mode since the latest DOOM multiplayer / PvP removed good old Deathmatch and turned it's multiplayer into a turd.

I heard todays kids don't appreciate good old style deathmatch as they constantly got a good whoopin' and like to play on consoles which is like playing with one eye, one leg, and one arm it sucks so bad.

Yes I played it and enjoyed it. Some of the fights were frustrating but that’s probably my skill level.

My buddy thrives on Souls like games. I like them too, but the beatdown gets tiresome after a while hah. My buddy will accept a whoopin' 250 in a row until he beats it, but that's what he loves to do. He refuses to give up.

I asked him a couple of nights ago I said, So you spend sometimes many hours over the course of days sometimes working to kill one boss and then once it's over. Everything you learned in that struggle is lost the second you move on. You don't have a problem with this? hah He doesn't care. He just wants to beat it.

I think COD this year is more enjoyable with friends and have a good time. I haven’t had fun with COD since the disbanding of lobbies.

What I have noticed is that if you are at least know the game modes, you will be around breakeven majority of the time due to spawns and the maps. It is very difficult to truly take over a game and when you do, the game will put you in a match where you will be around the breakeven.

Some very early impressions on Veilguard:

-Some early reviews did say its a bit to open, and Im definitely feeling that

- Looks amazing. Almost where DAI was when it came out and thag considered a marvel back in 2014

- Harding looks like she got a little chubby lol

- My character wound up looking like Eomer from LOTR with blue hair and war paint and Im all about it

- The party combat system is almost completely Mass Effect

- If you want to be a mage, a very early quest will force you to go with two other mages, so keep that in mind

I've been playing it as well. I've always been a sucker for the COD games. Even though they've changed a lot since I first started playing them (Modern Warfare 2007), they're just time-killer fun, and I try not to take them too seriously. I really enjoy the new 'Omni-movement' in BO6, although it can turn matches into a sweatfest. A lot of people get worked up about the skill-based matchmaking, but it doesn't bother me since I’m just here for the fun.

I still need to load up the campaign and try. Have heard good things.
