Ghost of Yotei definitely stole the show. I'm also looking forward to the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remaster and the new characters for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.





The 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Pro Bundle looks worth the green. Pulls the nostalgia lever.

Wait what, a remaster of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1/2. Sign me up. 1 was awesome, the puzzle in the cathedral is still a mind bender.

Lots of good games coming out in Feb/25. Too bad Assassins Creed Shadows wont be one of them. They have milked that franchise to death.

I'll definitely be playing the new TMNT.

I've been seeing Sony getting hammered on a little bit about their State of Play. The one that gave me the biggest chuckle was PS5 PRO stands for Play Remasters Only.

I honestly dont get why they are doing an HZD remaster. As it stands now, HZD isnt far off of Forbidden West after it got ported to PS5

I agree, there was definitely a lot of remasters. Before they announced the Ghost of Yotei at the end, I was thinking that PlayStation didn't need a State of Play just to announce all these remasters.

Agreed. I remember playing it on the first PlayStation. Enjoyed the game mechanic of shifting between realms to solve puzzles. Remaster looks great, hopefully this leads to a new game for the IP.

Bought The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for the Nintendo Switch. It's a similar visual style (which I just love) to Link's Awakening. So far it's great. You actually play as Zelda in this game.

I know it by reputation since it’s very highly regarded. I have never experienced it, so this remake could be a cool title for me.

PlayStation fans would love to know your thoughts on the PS5 Pro, 700$ is pretty steep and no disk drive is a no go from me.

I've thought about this a few times and I've flipped back and forth on the price issue. If Sony had increased the PS5 w/o disk's price along with inflation from the original price the $700 price wouldn't look as bad considering you're getting increased storage and a better CPU (among other things), but comparing today's PS5 w/o disk price to the PS5 Pro is a steep difference. IMO the price difference will be a bit too much and the Pro's benefits not enough to justify the price. Adding more stress is the requirement to purchase additional items other consoles have included from day one. Sony thinks it's a good price point. History will tell. I know scalpers didn't have any problem selling both versions of the PS5 well above the MSRPs back in the day, but the difference between a PS4 and PS5 was significant enough to drive people to the higher price. I don't believe the technical advancement of the Pro will steer people to the Pro when the still very capable PS5 is cheaper.

If the PS5 Pro had an included disk version I might have looked into it. I had a PS4 and then upgraded to the Pro model and I was happy enough with the upgrade, but if I didn't damage my PS4 cd drive I wouldn't have upgraded. Having to buy the console and a disk drive separately is a deal breaker for me.

So it's RDR 1 for the PC with RDR 2 graphics?

If yes this would be the biggest gaming news in all 2024 for me. I absolutely loved RDR 2 even with having never playing the first part. It's been easily my favorite game of all time and I've been PC Gaming since the mid 90s.

But if it's just an "upgrade" like they did with the GTA titles (which was horrible), then I'll pass.

I’m still probably getting it though. I agree, RDR2 is the best gaming experience I’ve ever had.
