I loved that skit
They really nailed some stuff on that show. That was definitely one of the better parodies for the old school 30 minute commercials you would see at 3:00 AM selling stuff like that. "Thought that guy was dead, nope he's selling CDs of his greatest hits"I loved that skit
I just bought Luigi’s Mansion 3 to play co-op with my son.
it’s a really cool game. I never played any of the Luigi mansions before. But I enjoy how it is a combination of Mario themes, while being kind of an exploration/puzzle solving game.
It’s been fun so far.
I had never played it before either and really enjoyed it.
I hate exclusive deals with popular IP.The NFL needs to drop EA to give other game developers a chance, remember NFL 2K, NFL QB Club? Raise ya hand if you hate EA!
I looked into this a ways back and the reason the NFL approached EA (not vice versa) is because 2k released NFL 2k5 at $20.00 and did not want the NFL associated with a "cheap" title. Then they went exclusive with Pepsi, Nike, EA, couple others. But that's the real story. They were doing exclusives with other companies, and saw their NFL product sold as at a knock off price from 2k. We all know that was a competition thing for 2k to show what they got, and it worked. Worked so well the NFL took notice of that price tag and came to EA with the offer.I hate exclusive deals with popular IP.
They could simply break their exclusive deals into 6-month protected launch windows and come out a lot better revenue-wise and make gamers a lot happier.
But who is to say it has to be between just those two companies? There are plenty of developers out there with the capability of making good sports games.I looked into this a ways back and the reason the NFL approached EA (not vice versa) is because 2k released NFL 2k5 at $20.00 and did not want the NFL associated with a "cheap" title. Was really let down to find this out but it made sense.
I feel ya brotha, felt like telling that story and you vaguely opened a windowBut who is to say it has to be between just those two companies? There are plenty of developers out there with the capability of making good sports games.
That said, my statement was more of a general statement with regards to well known IP.
IP owners should limit their exclusive agreements to 6-month launch windows which developers would have to pay to reserve in advance, so if they miss their target dates, they miss their launch window unless they pay the company who owns the next launch window.
Exclusive deals ultimately lead to lower quality and less innovation either through laziness and complacency or because companies are too afraid to mess with winning formulas.
My hand is raised. I worked at three different game companies that were bought by EA and I was laid off from all of them. I was actually working on NFL QB Club when EA got the exclusive license. That had never been a great game but some of the stuff we were doing on the last one made it a potential Madden killer. It's a shame that we never got to find out.The NFL needs to drop EA to give other game developers a chance, remember NFL 2K, NFL QB Club? Raise ya hand if you hate EA!

At least in that case, I didn't lose my job as I was able to move over to the baseball game we made.
Breath of the wild was one of the most beautiful open world games I’ve ever played and it’s available on a freaking handheld game system. It’s pretty incredible when you think about it.
Right now I am finishing up on a billiards game and moving on to a bowling game. Not the most exciting stuff but it pays the bills. It’s a shame they don’t let the artists Who make games do what they do best.
What kind of game are you working on now my man?
It really is an amazing game and the Switch is awesome. I don't think I saw one bug when I played through it. One thing I will say is that for small developers like mine the Switch causes some issues. We want to release on all consoles and Steam at the same time and don't really have the resources to develop for Switch separately. That means the other platforms end up getting the short end a little bit.I love games with top end graphics and power. Ok looking forward to the next gen consoles of PlayStation and X box.
all that being said. Nintendo continues to prove that hardware power and graphics are not what makes games great. I am truly impressed with how much they are able to do with the hardware on the switch.
