The Walking Dead Season 6-Episodes 9-16 *SPOILERS*

Even if you had not read the comics, you would have to think this Negan thing is going to last a while and to do that there must be a bunch more of them.

yea, all next season will be about negan and his camp. but i can certainly see why the actors were saying "wow, this is dark" cause it sure is rolling that way.

best run of the walking in awhile. pun intended. :)

Not necessarily, you saw how long that Terminus thing lasted and they were building to that for a few episodes. I suspect the Negan thing will be done in a few episodes.

That's a good point.

I think the difference is that Terminus was about a place... It wasn't about a person.

This Megan... er... Negan thing is going to be much bigger.

Agreed. Atleast as long as the governer story line went.

In regards to who gets Negan'd...i really think it's going to be Carrol. I know that doesn't work with the comics and not killing females...but She seemed really off on the Talking Dead last night, and gave me the impression that she was upset about her run coming to an end.

What was the deal with Carol in this episode? I thought she was able to kill without remorse. How much of the thing with the crucifix was an act and how much was legitimate.

Also, how is everyone "Negan?" I thought Negan is the guy with the baseball bat who has not been introduced yet.

Everyone says they are negan so his real identity is hidden from enemies. It's a common practice in organized crime/gangs.

negan being everyone - that would be a borg like collective i believe they're trying to build.

So you think the Negan storyline goes into next season. It could but that would be one of the only times in this series that a defining storyline hungover to a new season. In keeping with that line of thought, I think Alexandria ends this season too. Season 1 was Atlanta/CDC, season 2 was Hershel's farm, season 3 was finding the prison and making it safe, Season 4 was the Governor and Woodbury, season 5 was the group separated/coming back together and Terminus, season 6 is Alexandria and Negan/Saviors. Season 7 IMO, will be something other than Negan and Alexandria.

Oh definitely goes into next season... probably right through to the end of the season.

Definitely. Especially since Negan is set to premiere on the season finale. There's way to much invested in the build up to be a 1 or 2 episode fling. I think this season will end with the scene we've all been expecting and next season will be a big cluster of the group dealing with the Saviors and the Wolves.

I bet they regret casting Alicia Witt as Paula. She was too good for one episode and done, although her death was epic.

It feels like they are really rushing story lines. Like if they sit down for a moment viewers will leave.
They went from the Wolves, to the Herd, to the Hilltop , to the Saviors really fast.

Herschel's farm was slow but this pace can't be sustained.

Mind blown but I'm open to that possibility. I'd actually love it. Alexandrians vs Negan/Saviors has so many possible outcomes.

Very true. Lots of twists & turns. But it's more than just the "Alexandrians" here– You've got the Hilltop community also (not too mention any other communities that are under Negan's thumb). If Negan's group is as large as we perceive then they can not only be sponging off the Hilltop group– they would need several communities "feeding" them in return for "protection".

The other interesting this is the Maggie character– she's becoming a leader, which could indicate a plot twist in the future.

Agreed, to have her character killed in one episode was somewhat of a waste IMO. I thought her character was very interesting. What struck me is that the two groups are much more similar than they are different.

The pacing has been very fast, but I think you're going to see it slow up until episode 7-15... Lot's of Negan and the Saviors.

Durabont having control of the show the first couple seasons gave us a much different pace. In some ways bad, but in other ways good.

Yeah, I was expecting the rest of the Saviors to be more like the first group they blew up on the road. But, from what the lady said, it sounded like they were the idiots of their group.

I think that's just the human mix of things. You get a group together and you're going to have your share of knuckleheads. I think one thing we learned from the Woodberry-situation is that many of the people are simply followers. From everything we've learned so far is that Negan is domineering and no doubt you have some die-hards, but what happens if the leadership is removed? Will we ever find out? Given the what seems to be a very large group, total destruction probably isn't in the cards.

I really have no idea where they'll go with this story once Negan is finally dealt with. If the Saviors are massive, then it wouldn't make much sense for Rick's group to try and kill them all without first trying to just kill Negan unless a real good opportunity presents itself (like they all just happen to gather around a fuel tanker lol). But for any surviving Saviors to remain as a big part of the show, they would have to mix with Rick's group somehow. If they got sick of the fighting and turned on Negan, I could see that happening. But I have a feeling they'll let someone from Rick's group dispense Negan as vengeance for everything he's about to do.

Good thoughts there.

There will probably be some time before Negan is effectively dealt with by anyone.
