there, including guys like

Pork Chop Womack
L. Petigout - was serviceable to decent before injury
McIntosh
M. Holland
Sean Mahan - up and comer
C. Carlisle - could be a good hire
J. Stinchcomb(?) - not sure about him
Dielman - o.k., I know we're not going to ante up, but still ....

And I know I'm missing a few.

If we do manage to re-sign Colombo, we could do well by getting a guy like Holland or Womack, for example. In fact, we'd probably still have money left over to add some depth at LB and/or the Secondary AND re-sign our own players, including Newman and Romo to long-term contracts.

Let's remember, FA has just started!

(I'm feeling optimistic again, as I've had a good nights sleep.)

Phillips knows this player very well.

How is that? He has only been in Buff. the past two years. He spent his first five in Chicago. Where is the connection?

I believe Archer mentioned Jordan Black could be a candidate at RT.

Jordan Black is a name that intrigues me, i think he can come in and be just as good as Colombo so if Colombo is gone i hope its this guy who comes in

Yes he was mentioned by Archer.....Black was Willie Roaf's replacement at OT & not that successful ...I would argue that he's not as good as Colombo.

Agree with you here.

I'm curious as to what size of contract Colombo is looking for. Also, I wonder how much Colombo's previous injuries are impacting the negotiations, if much as all.

thats a good point, that i totally forgot it's not like Colombo has been a solid OL for the past 5 years.. this was his 1st year after huge knee surgery i believe.. so maybe its not Colombo asking for the moon but maybe were just hesitant to give him guaranteed money and the length of the contract.

Oh, that would be smashing.

Sign the OL the Bills didn't want.

Sounds like a winner.

No, he doesn't.

Gandy was in college the last time Phillips was in Buffalo.
