Look, dude, I respect your opinion. Who am I to say otherwise? But when has Aaron Rodgers ever done that? If anything, he's underachieved. Took a 15-1 Packers team and lost at home to a 9-7 Giants team. Had the better team and still lost to an inferior quarterback playing on an inferior team. Congrats, you just crapped all over yourself. That's probably the only time that's ever happened. So no, I don't worry about Rodgers on an average team. He'll have to show otherwise for me to take him seriously.

I mean, he did it in 2010. He's more accomplished than any QB in the playoffs outside of Brady.

IDK.., Buffalo and KC are no doubt the best of the best. Bengals have practically placed themselves among the elite as well . These 3 teams arguably have the best or most Elite QB’s as well.

Not sure how we couldn’t argue they are leaps and bounds better than everyone else?

KC's D leaves alot to be desired.

Bills offense is Diggs and not much else.

Bengals OL is shaky.

There isn't one team, top to bottom, where you can say "They are definitely above everyone else. They look unbeatable."

This isn't the 90's where Dallas & SF are above everyone else. Everyone knew the winner of that game would win the SB. Times have changed.

There are great teams who stand out. The big three in the AFC. Dallas, SF, and Eagles.

Parity seems to be the norm.

You don’t have to be unbeatable to be a dominant force. This the NFL not NCAA.

I agree it’s not the 90’s. And those teams were beatable too. They didn’t go undefeated.

But in Cap era this is what dominance looks like. The Elite QB’s and rare Elite defenses on the most part are the consistent contenders dominating the league. Dominance looks different in Cap era.

There are zero dominant teams. Every team in the league has lost to bad teams. The Super Bowl is wide open.

What a great opportunity the Cowboys have this year in the playoffs. When you look at the current NFL landscape, honestly there are no juggernauts. There are no consistently dominant teams.

Looking at the playoff teams in the NFC, it’s hard to pinpoint any one team as having the most momentum. All teams have strengths but their weaknesses are there too.

Looking at the current top 4 NFC teams going into the playoffs, none of them scare me- They all have strengths of course but their weaknesses are there too.
  • Philly- their once strong running game has become average. And who knows how bad Hurts’ shoulder is. Their defense has suffered big injuries too. They are limping into the tournament.
  • SF- yes they have a great D, yet somehow that D gave up 34 to Oakland’s backup QB yesterday. And, more importantly, they continue to count on a 7th round rookie QB to not fall apart. Brock Purdy’s clock is ticking for a melt down.
  • Dallas- we’re as good or better than anyone in the NFC. Just have to prove it on the road.
  • Minn- the worst 12-4 team in the league. Cousins is terrible when facing good teams. Their defense is completely inconsistent.
  • GB- if they get in the playoffs, they could be the scariest team in the tournament. They’re hot and Rodgers has no fear.
  • TB- Brady is the GOAT but Father Time has been gently rapping on his door this year. He’s still capable of great moments but not consistently. The TB defense is just ok.
  • NYG- probably just glad to be in.
Bottom line for me- this year’s playoffs are an excellent opportunity for the Cowboys to win some playoff games. But more than likely they must become tough road warriors. It’s all there for the taking.

Respect is earned in the playoffs!

I totally agree, it’s all there for the taking. I just hope that if Prescott does blow it, that folks here don’t give him a pass…I really think he’s going to blow it. If he plays a great game, and we still lose to Philly or San Fran that is not his fault… But if he lays an egg, all the Prescott apologist should flip. And by reverse, if he plays great and we finally win the Super Bowl, I will give him all the credit in the world

Ok, got it. Well the evidence of the rams earning respect is that Lombardi trophy. They haven’t done anything this year but they already earned respect.
They earned respect for LAST year. Nobody is respecting them now, and nobody will be respecting them for the next several years.

Purdy looks like the best QB they’ve had all season too
That kid looks fantastic. He just makes great decisions... unlike Dak running out of bounds in the Eagles game. Not a Dak bash thread.. just pointing out that Purdy already looks like a 10 year vet, and he has been unfazed by everything.

I personally think he will keep the job next year and they will try to trade Lance.

so do you really think that in the past, teams that were 12-4 only lost to playoff teams?
There is no team that scares me. Brady? Bucs suck. Rodgers? Packers suck. Mahomes? His surrounding cast is not as good as previous years Bills? No running game. 49ers? Mr Irrelevant. Philly? Maybe Hurts is an elite QB, but until he proves it…

Plenty of teams who could beat us though.

I’m one of those unusual fans who really wants to play the best teams in the playoffs. I want Brady. I want the eagles. I want the niners. In any order.

Why? Well… If you believe this team is capable of greatness, and I think it’s capable- you have to prove it against the best. It’s time for this team to prove they are who we have hoped they are. The only way to prove that is to prove it in the playoffs against the best. The best teams should bring out the best in the Cowboys. Bring it!

Depending on the next few games, I would consider him the guy in SF moving forward. I've been really impressed with him play when I see any of their games

We play better against better teams tho, so the teams I am worried about the most are the bad ones and we are going to end up playing one in the first round

I think there are dominant teams. San Fran, Dallas and Philly. Problem is that one of those dominant teams has shown a tendancy to underperform in the playoffs!

Philly has outscored their opponents by 127, Dallas by 145 and San Fran by 148 - nobody else in the NFC is close!

Dak can but he can't carry us like a Mahomes or Allen. He needs help. We need the entire team around him to step up and be great. If we don't do that, we will be 1 and done.
He needs great protection. He can't move in the pocket like those guys. That's why they carry their teams. Give him a clean pocket and his numbers will be up there but the difference in getting out of the pocket is the glaring one!

You believe this team is capable?
Capable? Absolutely. Will they? I have no idea. It’s not out of the question at all for this team to make a deep playoff run. It’s the parity NFL.

Today’s NFL is a collection of a few good teams of varying degrees. There are zero great teams like we had in our younger days. The NFL is not a league of excellence. It’s a league of parity and it’s exactly by design.

Why would we believe this team is capable without prior proof?

The NFL does have other teams which have proven themselves.

You stated in another thread recently you couldn't believe in this team without proof. What has changed?
