If you actually stood by Romo like you claimed, you wouldn't have made the bolded statement (unless you're speaking in hindsight rather than your thoughts at that time). It's better to say the truth: Whether Romo choked or not in 2016 didn't matter because it wasn't the QB that lost that playoff game. It was the defense. Romo could have played well and they still would have lost....just like Dak did that game. Are you saying because Dak was QB the defense lost that game but had Romo been in the defense playing the same meant Romo choked? That's how it is coming across. if so, that's extremely hypocritical. If not, you might want to clarify and I apologize for misinterpreting.

We don't know what would have happened had Romo been reinserted in 2016, but it almost surely would have resulted in the same results, a loss to the Packers due to the defense. The team was absolutely right keeping Dak in that season.

It really wasn't until his ankle injury that something happened to Dak and he turned into a choke artist.

If I recall, he only threw one pick in that playoff game. As a rookie. He also helped the team put up 31 points. 31 should be enough to beat nearly any team. But the defense allowed the packers to score 34.

I can take a couple of "no playoffs" seasons with the right coach and vision for this team. Being 12-5, winning the division and getting smoked at home by the #7 seed is about as bad an outcome I can think of for a season.

Well said. I also can take and almost a few seasons of 4-13 or 7-10 knowing that we’re trending in the right direction. I feel like we’ve plateaued as a good regular season team with little to no playoff shot. I feel this hurts more than not making the playoffs but building the roster. We currently have a flawed roster that loses in the trenches. That needs to change.

An honest assessment of of the roster would show good players at DE and OL, and mediocrity almost everywhere else. For example, I believe we have some of the worst backs in the league, none of them should be on our roster next year. LBs and secondary also need a complete overhaul, and that's with Diggs and Overshown coming off torn ACLs. Let every receiver but Lamb and Ferguson walk. Try to get as many picks as possible.

First thing they need to do. Is stop being petrified of FA. Second. They need to stop overrating their own talent. Just because you drafted them doesnt make them good. Third. Bring in a coach that will hold players accountable, and tell the players the buck stops with the coach and your office door is CLOSED.

Dan Quinn needs to go. Immediately. Either he was paid off or is just clueless. How do you change your scheme from heavy man coverage to zone against a team that struggles against press man? Was he scouting the wrong team? Was he scouting the team he had interviews with? It makes no logical sense.
