As the roster has dwindled so has he.

I’ve got significant qualms about paying Dak big money. Many a doubt.

But with all due respect, this is an awful argument to make.

Dak had this same crap line, terrible special teams, inconsistent running game and non-existent defense. And he was routinely roasted for every throw that was four inches off center, or every time he couldn’t execute the game winning drive.

Truthfully? Those are fair arguments. QBs earn their money late in games. They’re expected to be precise.

But this? What we are seeing tonight? Classic backup QB play. And that isn’t Dalton’s fault. He is what he is at this stage of his career. But it’s embarrassing to even attempt to compare these struggles to Dak’s aforementioned struggles.
