Goodness.
Welcome to my club Maso. Often have that reaction. We're thinking of making that the official handshake. Details are still being worked out on how to accomplish that.

Wait.........what?

We're mad at Romo because he wants to win a superbowl in the next five years?

Dude, we're the Cowboys. If you don't expect to win at least four of the next three Super Bowls, you're not a true fan.

Truth.

A club?

You mean like the ones that Tony Romo goes to on the weekends instead of learning how to protect the ball? One of those place where Jessica takes him to throw him off his game?

Let me guess, your club is in Cabo isn't it?

Well, at least the company is good. Just don't let JerryAdvocate in, he ruins everything. :)

Yeah... I don't even understand what this thread is trying to say. Why is a "storm brewing"?

I've said it many times on this board, so what's one more time?

We're very, very lucky to have Tony Romo as our QB.

It took a post-draft flier, a very stupid starting QB (Quincy), a bad investment (Henson), and shaky QB play from another starter (Bledsoe) for us to unearth the gem we have in Romo.

If the team around him is good enough, we'll win playoff games and get to a Super Bowl or two with Romo as our QB. He is our strength, he is not our downfall. I believe that whole-heartedly.

It's funny how big a % of the conversation here is spent debating the worth of Tony Romo. He's the Cowboy I worry about the least.

Hard-working, competitive, humble, smart... and pretty freakin' talented on top of all that.

Some teams have been dialing 1-800-Quarterback for well over a decade. Jerry put his phone down after week 8, 2006.

Hell, what's one more time just for the sake of emphasis?

We are very, very lucky to have Tony Romo as our QB.

Man people get overly touchy about every single comparison.

You can't compare Romo to __________________. You should be shot, dismembered, and then served at a cannibal bbq.

I agree. Tony is not Troy Aikman and Troy Aikman was not Roger Staubach. Tony is his own man he is not the second coming of Troy Aikman or any other QB he is a darn good QB trying to help this team win a championship.

No, he was not. But in a critical game, much like Tom Brady, I'll take an Aikman over a Marino or a Peyton Manning.

No, they want to win it every year, but know realistically if they win one in their entire careers they belong in select company. I think Romo is just trying to be realistic, but most fans don't want reality.

I was listeningto thefan and there was a storm brewing over what romo said in an article, romo said, i hope to win a superbowl in 5 years. And some fans are still comparing romo to aikman.

Aikman has won playoff games and superbowls while romo hasnt. till romo wins in playoffs and superbowls, no way romo should be compared to aikman.

you can have all the stats that you want, but stats dont win ball games, its protecting the ball and winning when you have to in big games. Romo hasnt done that yet. Just thought some of your would want to know what they were talking about on thefan. 105.3

I wonder how well those Dallas teams with Romo as the QB and Aikman QBing the team now? How would defenses play the 90's team with Romos' mobility? Would have been fun...

An earlier poster said Aikman had not won a playoff game by this same point in Romo's career..... Romo is going into his 7th season,, by Aikman's 7th he had two Super Bowl rings...

This is why I think the comparisons at this point are really stupid. Romo couldn't beat out the guys ahead of him his first 3 seasons,, nor was he expected to. Aikman started from day one.
