Not really, two of our three wins are AFC....................we only have 1 NFC win and losses to both the Saints and Lions, which will kill us in tiebreakers for wildcard spot if we dont win the division.

Add the 49er game as a loss right now and that puts you at 1-3 in the NFC.................going to be almost impossible to get a wildcard without any tiebreakers, so it is division or bust this year.
They really won't have to worry about tie breakers.

For me it’s not the record as much as how the entire team, minus our mvp kicker, gave up in Dallas. There is so much broken there i am concerned it’s too much to fix this season.

Even if you assume the players who are hurt will come back there are gaping holes on the OLine (Martin is a shell of himself and this is likely his last year in the NFL) for both RG and RT, the RB room is nonexistent, the WR room after Lamb is not NFL level, the DLine has holes, the LB room makes it still a donut defense, the S are not playing well, and CBs are giving up huge plays. Note that those are just the positions where the level of play is below league average. That is a staggering amount of holes for a team to have and most of it was predictable.

Bigger even than the owner, this thread (OP) shows the number one problem with the Cowboys. Over 30 years period, fans grew to settle for mediocrity.

Dallas Cowboys who used to be the "Standard" and the envy of the NFL, the one guaranteed side in the NFCC game almost every year, now have become the "Hey we got our ykw whipped but we are 3-3" and "we are getting humiliated at home and on national TV, but hey, we are 3-3".

Fans stopped caring about winning the SB, be competitive, as long as we hang on to keep the games meaningful, even through we are not going anywhere or achieve anything, just keep the games meaningful.

It’s not that we don’t care and yearn for more returning to our glory years we just realize with Jethro Ball it’s not going to happen. The Cowboys are no longer a championship caliber franchise. Only in name .

And like with any handicap situation have learned to limp along with it doing the best we can with what we have. Doesn’t mean we like it or accept it. Not much else we can do after our screaming from the mountain top hasnt helped.

So we become apathetic realizing we no longer are a championship caliber franchise merely a mediocre to dormant type. Expectations are adjusted as such. It’s how fans of lesser teams act. Would you like if we put bags over our heads as well.

A lot of things wrong with 3-3 especially when you’re coming off a 38 point loss at home. Unfortunately, the Cowboys are everything we feared they would be this season. This is what you get when you sit around during the off-season and aren’t active and free agency. It was obvious to many of us this summer we had gotten worse. No way can you get better losing a bunch of players and not be active in free agency.
Right. The evermore reason that 3-3 isn’t bad for a team this poor.

I think most saw us at 2-4 headed into the bye . And all of the negative rhetoric which would have followed. Our big surprising upset of Pittsburgh on the road provides us some leeway.

3-3 is manageable. If you’d of told me 3-3 with our schedule heading into season , I’d of took it.

We need to be rooting hard for Balt today. A win by Ravens and we are still only 1 game back in division, assuming we lose of course. And if Egirls win only a half game behind them. I don’t give Browns much chance.

So all in all not a bad place to be . We still have both games left with Wash & Phil ( who doesn’t look daunting )and another game with NY. Also have Atlanta, Tampa and Carolina left. Cinn and SF which I had chalked as losses aren’t as worrisome as originally thought. Houston may be like a road game for us. Im not interesting in dissecting these just a broad speculation.

I see potentially 5 or 6 more wins . We should still be in playoff hunt and maybe division. 8-10 wins( yea 10 is probably a little option right now) keeps us alive .

Who knows . If we get everyone back healthy maybe we could make a run. Not that we’d do much in playoffs but better to have meaningful games than not. No reason to get down after a loss today. No shame in losing to better teams .
Come on man. The 3-3 isn't the problem. It's how they have been in those 6 games. In all 3 losses we looked like a Community College team. We could have played with 12 men on the field yesterday and we would have still lost.

The evermore reason 3-3 is ok for this team. It could have been 2-4 or 1-5 easily.

The 3-3 record isn’t the problem.

The problem is the fashion in which they are losing these games: ridiculous 25+ point home blowouts.

This team just isn’t any good. We barely beat two cream puffs in NY and Pitt and Cleveland is no good either.

This team will lose to almost any quality opponent this season, and unfortunately for us there are a lot of those on the schedule.

We are not doing our best my friend. And we do not need to accept "Jerry's reality".

Why do fans go to games? Why do they pay their hard-earned money to get merchandise of a mediocre team and put money in the pockets of an egomaniac owner who does not have any emotional tie to the team (remember, he tried to buy the Charges first, so it's not fandom for him) and wants it only as a platform to satisfy his egotistical self-admiration personality.

My friend lives in the DC area and he always explains to me how the skins fans hated the owner (Dan Snyder). Most stopped going to games, or buying merchandise. Most radio shows only focused on Dan Snyder as the core of their mediocrity. Since the sale of the team, he says the fans are feeling like a new fresh air all over the place. Dallas media would NEVER do that. If they do, it would be for a week maybe two. Fans and media need to put constant pressure on Jerry and family to let them know that their show is not entertaining anymore, their sale pitches are old and don't work anymore. Even the NFL would feel it because when Cowboys fans boycott that hits their bottom lines and THEY start putting pressure on Jerry.
We were lucky he was so busy with the finances the first 4-5 years, so that let Jimmy do his things and build that 90s team and won 3 SBs. Once his goose started laying golden egss, he turned on the show and let Jimmy walk just to start his show.
When he needed money for the new stadium, he caved in and brought BP, he seemed to start to build something. But noooo.. Jerry need to get back to the show since stadium finances were in the book.

Ultimately, it's up to the fans to make a move. Stop attendance, don't buy what they sell whatsoever, let the media and the whole world know. Then Jerry will sit in that $1.2B building alone with guest team's fans laughing at him. He might realize that he actually was the clown on this show.

I totally get it. And being a long time former season ticket holder from Texas Stadium who resisted along with tens of thousands other moving to AT&T, we tried to warn everyone. But many of the new season ticket holders are business who use tickets to entertain their clients .

Unfortunately as we warned decades ago once you commit to PSL’s for tickets you can’t get out without losing tens of thousands . And why many are brokering out their seats and we have 30,000+ opposing fans in attendance .

Once the stadium was completed , PSL’s sold , sponsors signed … game over. Jethro no longer needs the local support.

Some of the local media has persecuted him. We have one of the lowest local TV viewing percentages in the NFL. Jethro has been voted the most hated sports personality in DFW area.

But nationwide interest is still up. And whether you hate or love the Cowboys they want to watch them. And with the record number of people moving into to Texas from other states they are bringing their fandom. And buying up the tickets to see their team.

So how you feeling about 3-4 or 3-5? Would you take that too? Because that’s on the horizon with this crap team they’ve put together.
