They did last yr, where they had the Tackle ahead of both Guards on their board. The majority of the teams, usually take the best player available at a need position, most say they use bpa, but that's not the case. When they took Parsons, who was considered an off the ball linebacker, which isn't considered a high valued position, but they were able to get another top 100 pick.Just hope they’re factoring in positional value.
Yea - as long as they definitely viewed Tyler as an OT and not a G that’s true. They did last yr, where they had the Tackle ahead of both Guards on their board. This yr, with so little 1st rd grades, you would think, outside of QB, any 1st rd player drops, they are going to take him. Question is, will McDonald carry a 1st rd grade, will Forbes, will either top TE?
Why the low stats last season compared to others? He is also olderMcDonald could easily be a top 20 pick.
Passing on Gibbs would be a blessing. Take McDonald 10 out of 10 times over GibbsI’d be ok with it. Would hurt though to pass on Gibbs if he’s there but McDonald wouldn’t be a bad choice.
If this dude played at Alabama how high does he go? He’s super talented as is.
We already have a Gibbs in Pollard. What we need is a better Oline to block for the backs and the passing game.I would love to have him but we really need a legit offensive weapon(Gibbs)
So you must have missed it when we traded for Cooks?I think with the lack of receivers, everyone will be pushed up this yr, hear some teams just have 15 1st rd grades, might see a lot of trades to move up
There's more than one round in a draft. We already have a Gibbs in Pollard. What we need is a better Oline to block for the backs and the passing game.
Don't worry. We'll play him inside in the NASCAR package. That would be a nice luxury to have or we could try to improve the worst set of DTs in the entire league.
They were smart to address the need prior to the draft, but don’t think they are doneSo you must have missed it when we traded for Cooks?
There’s still a chance!!!I'm just glad we aren't really linked to Nolan Smith
No DT besides Carter has the talent level to turn around our DT play like you want. At least McDonald would still be a big addition to the dline. That would be a nice luxury to have or we could try to improve the worst set of DTs in the entire league.
Exactly. No need to take a RB in the first. There's more than one round in a draft.
Depth maybe. They were smart to address the need prior to the draft, but don’t think they are done
Iowa State ran a lot of three man fronts last season and he lined up in the B gap. Dorance Armstrong had a similar senior season when Kansas went to a 3 man frontWhy the low stats last season compared to others? He is also older
