Whats crazy is denver is this good even without their best corner and a top 2 linebacker In the league.

Denver is good? They must not be paying Peyton any money

I am told the only way to build a team is to get lucky on your QB so you don't pay them much (ala Seattle and SF)

It has nothing to do with a GM knowing what players to bring in or a HC who actually knows what to do

This is why teams that pay their QB (like NE, SD, indy etc) must really suck

Sorry to say but this team will be sent on a downward spiral after the loss to the Broncos. You stated that the Cowboys wouldn't be 2-2 if they played the schedule the Broncos have played. I beg to differ. The Cowboys beat themselves, have no consistiency and have yet to find their identity as a football team. The Cowboys aren't that good of a football team. Talent they have, but don't know how to use it. Downward spiral after Sunday, media beating pole on Monday....Sorry.

I just don't see things any different yet from this team that makes me believe they are more than a 8-8 team...

Hey Festus, don't you have to go sweep the jail or something?;)

Its impossible to tell, I suspect we'll come out and play well and fall just short also...simply because the one thing we can count on to be consistent with our team is inconsistency. As a perennial .500 team, we played one good game, one bad game, one good game, and one bad game....we're now due for a good game. Unfortunately, it will be against the best team with one of the all-time great QBs (who by the way we've could've had) while they are surging.
So I suspect we'll lose close and it will be counted a moral victory (like the Baltimore game last year) then we'll lay a clunker in Wash to get to 2-4.

The reason this game wont be closer than you expect is really simple.

Denver EXECUTES at a very high level and Dallas doesnt.

Why don't we just hold out all the starters since we don't have a snowballs' chance in Hades of winning anyway? I wish all you 'realists' would go to the same ledge, hold hands, and jump.

That's because they're so good offensively. They get opponents so far behind they have to press to try and come back. Denver ranks #1 against the run due to the fact that opponents have to abandon the run and throw the ball to try and match scores with them. The Bronco's rank 30th against the pass which is 2 spots worse than the Cowboys because opponents have to air it out against them. Denver is willing to give up garbage yards through the air sitting on a big lead.

Yeah, that's why their pass defense is bad. Not because their pass defense in general is just... bad.

It might be competitive for a half. The better team dominates the 2nd half and wins by more than 14.

That's where the Broncos have been cleaning up this season. In fact they were only up by a score I think going into the 4th quarter vs the Giants.

We'll see. This is the one game it helps to have homefield advantage. We don't have even a sliver of a chance playing at Mile High.

What will have more impact on the outcome of the game

'Realists' jumping off the ledge
Or
Constant homer posts despite evidence?

I thought so ;)

I'm just be honest with myself and from what I've seen from this team and organization. I have followed the Cowboys for better than 30years and I will always be a faithful fan. I hope the Cowboys will make me eat my words come Sunday, really, this teams problems are bigger than the Denver Broncos.

Where's the sign up list for the 'Homer club'? I'll be #1 on the list.
If believing your team has a chance (no matter how small) in every game is being a Homer, then I guess I am.
