Or perfect understanding that corners are far, far more valuable than safeties.Perfect example of damage control.

Stephen Jones said the Cowboys would have selected CB Kelvin Joseph over S Trevon Moehrig had the Raiders not traded in front of them in the second round. The Cowboys were determined to get a cornerback.
Dude if you have 20CBs on the team they can go both ways. No need for S, WR, RB...maybe even QB and run the triple wing. We already know CBs ate Mahomes alive with the rush so DE now has position flexNow I ask you. What other position is treated this way?
Must. Have. Cornerback.
It really is a mental illness.
some had kelvin joseph as a possible first rd pick. The only reason they lucked out with Parsons is the two CBs we’re gone. So they reached for a CB in the 2nd.
I’m not that excited about the 3rd round DTs, but at least they have DTs now. If they are gonna be 5 techniques that helps because I’m not expecting a pass rush from these two.
I liked the next two picks in Nashon Wright (as a safety), and Jabril Cox LB.
Bohanna was one of my favorite picks so that they have a true NT.
Because he wasn't a reach. We definitely had the need as well.some had kelvin joseph as a possible first rd pick.
most had him in the 2nd.
thats not a reach to me.
You can definitely say that the players drafted do not have past injury concerns. You could say that they got the best defensive player in the draft at pick 12.
You could say that they got a 1st round corner in the 2nd round.
You could say that they got two solid defensive linemen in the 3rd round.
You could say that they got a 2nd round linebacker in the 4th round.
You could say that they got a 2nd round offensive tackle in the 4th round.
Maybe they got a keeper 1 technique in the 6th round.
Maybe the tall defensive backs and the wr contribute. Who knows?
Anyway, the draft class has a chance to be good and they certainly improved their defense.
Haters gonna hate. It’s what you people live for.I hear you but
You could also say that
they didnt trade up atleast two or three spots for the cheap (likely a 4th) to get a difference maker Safety in Moehrig
Instead they take a corner who more likes to be a rapper than a football player with two other 2nd Round Corners and multiple good Tackles still on the board
Took two guys in the third that they could have gotten later (Gholston) or even way later or even in Free Agency (Wright)
Drafted an undersized underweight DT in the third (Osa) // I get Tyrone Crawford flashbacks watching him
Drafted a 1 Tech who cant move and generates zero pressure in the 6th
Ball was never a 2nd Round Tackle.
At the end of the day we have to see what they do on the field. We cant say its great or its ***** before we havent seen them play a full season or two.
A lot of people thought last years class was great and it looks very underwhelming so far.
So was Parsons.I agree. Moehrig was sitting there begging to be taken by Dallas.
But you said it’s all on the QB and nothing else matters. So which is it? Or does it depend on the thread?Or perfect understanding that corners are far, far more valuable than safeties.
Find a cliff and walk off itBut you said it’s all on the QB and nothing else matters. So which is it? Or does it depend on the thread?
Got ya huh. It’s easy.Find a cliff and walk off it
Yes, trolling is easy. Making stuff up easy. For you, reading comprehension is difficult.Got ya huh. It’s easy.
Yup. I remember when we took LVE. I thought they had made a trade to draft Derwin James.Tunnel vision.
We’ll never see another quality safety.
Even when the stars align, this team finds ways to ignore them.
Had they not drafted Joseph did anyone really want to go into a game with Diggs & Brown on the outside with Lewis in the slot? Because that was what we were looking at.
Are you surprised? Of course they are going to pencil in the vets as starters. Rookies have to earn it.Man, you're like Stephen King. Stop it.
Or perfect understanding that corners are far, far more valuable than safeties.
No they can't. Not in the modern NFL.I'd agree with more valuable, but not "far, far more". A great safety can do things a cornerback can do to a large degree. Vice versa of course, on occasion. Don't know that the 90's Cowboys would have been as successful as they were without Woodson, Washington et al, despite having Deion, for example....
