This Eagles win was a blessing in disguise

Why? With an Eagles loss today and next week the Cowboys could take a commanding lead. Now the Eagles beat the team with the best record and maybe gets a little confidence back. You always root for a divison rival loss, unless it helps you with playoff seeding late in the season.

So you want the Cowboys to play a desperate 3-3 eagles team instead of a 4-2 eagles team who is feeling better about themselves over a flukey win?

Better for them to win, therefore if they gain hope that they can beat our Cowboys, than that hope will be crushed if our team wins!

no way did I want the eagles coming into Dallas on a 3 game losing streak with everyone in the media saying they have no shot against the Cowboys. Now that they were able to beat a undefeated Vikings team, they will be feeling a lot better about themselves and not as dangerous as they would have been if they came in 0-3 in the last 3 games. You just know if the eagles had lost another game and was coming to play the Cowboys on National TV that game would have had a loss written all over it. lol

I know how the NFL works and them beating the vikings was a good thing because the losing streak is over.

I either wanted us to be coming off a loss to GB or the eagles to be coming off a win over minny which is now the case. I feel better about this game than I did 4 hours ago.
Based on some of the responses...it is easy to see why Vegas makes a killing each week on NFL games. Ask the Commanders how their superior record worked out for them today against a desperate Lions team.

I agree with your statement and it takes the edge off the Eagles for sure.

I think the game comes down simply to their front four against our OL.

The Eagles have been one of the few teams in recent years to give our OL some real problems. But that was under a 3-4 and now they play a 4-3. If the OL controls their front four, we should be fine assuming the secondary plays well and doesn't let Wentz go bonkers on us.

It does matter what the eagles are coming off of. Win.. Loss.. Again, it doesn't matter. We're smoking that *** next weekend.

The flipside is that a 3-3 Eagles team coming off of 3 straight losses could be totally depressed and if the Cowboys grabbed an early lead on them, they might pack it in.

Yes, and when they get their tonsils yanked out they can go cry in the gutter with their cheese steak eating fans. Bury the giggles. Leave them again in the dregs of humanity were Philthy belongs.

If you think you are a playoff team you shouldn't care whether or not a team comes in with a 2 or 3 or 4 game losing streak or whatever. Its a divisional game. Its going to be competitive regardless.

3-3 and they would have came into Dallas like they did in 1996, 2000, 2014

Blah blah blah. That was a rehearsal for the NFC Championship game. Will be the same result too.

To be clear, I think this is a great game, but one we should win. But I also don't think the Garrett Cowboys look past opponents. We generally beat teams we should beat and lose to better teams. I think we've got a better team than these Eagles.

Our OL matches up well with their rush. It should be a good game.

So a division rival wins a game and improves their draft position in one swoop and this is good? Only good thing is Sam Bradford re appeared.

But in all honesty if we were to lose It's not going to be a big deal because we would both be tied at 5-2 but I want the win. I even took off the monday after the game because I will be in no mood to talk about the game with eagles fans

even with both teams being 5-2. If we are going to lose let it be the browns

They will come in with less of a edge as a 4-2 team who is coming off a win

Exactly. How is a division foe winning today a blessing in disguise? If they would have lost today, that gives us a bigger lead and a cushion. Now we don't have that luxury anymore.

A blessing would have been all the division teams losing today and possible injuries to their key players.
...and you had to explain that:facepalm:
