At the end of the day, all that matters are Ws. The fact that the "media perception" of either is irrelevant.

I don't think the Eagles did anything today that was different than what they have done previously. They won matchups, got some turnovers.

All that matters is how they match-up against our team.

I get what you are saying, @CowboysFanSince88. It's definitely seemed that way in the past... That if a division rival is playing us coming off a losing steak they beat us but I just feel like this is a different team...maybe one that could break that trend. Of course we don't have to find out just yet but maybe we will in the future.

Cowboys would not have approached the game the same way if they were 3-3 coming into Dallas on a 3 game losing streak.

no way did I want the eagles coming into Dallas on a 3 game losing streak with everyone in the media saying they have no shot against the Cowboys. Now that they were able to beat a undefeated Vikings team, they will be feeling a lot better about themselves and not as dangerous as they would have been if they came in 0-3 in the last 3 games. You just know if the eagles had lost another game and was coming to play the Cowboys on National TV that game would have had a loss written all over it. lol

I know how the NFL works and them beating the vikings was a good thing because the losing streak is over.

The Eagles got to go after Bradford on just about every single snap since they knew Minny wasn't gonna run on them.

It won't go like that when we play the Eagles. Thank God we can run, and run right at them. We already faced a pretty good run defense in GB and shredded it. The Eagles run D doesn't scare me at all. Our offense isn't one dimensional like the Vikings were forced to be today without AD.

Had they lost, had minnesota taken full advantage of all of the mistakes of Wentz.....then a 3 game losing streak may have put doubts in their heads.....it may have cause some division in the locker room.....maybe some finger pointing......

We could have caught them in disarray and very low confidence wise. We jump on them early and that doubt creeps in, maybe they don't give max effort in the 2nd half.

Of course, it is the Eagles, they hate us, and they never quit against us.....

But now, they are cocky and arrogant again. They didn't just beat Minnesota, they beat on them.

At least we have a dominant OL, and the best rushing attack in football. We should win.

Another reason this was good is that this may come into play regarding home field advantage for the playoffs - we needed the Vikings to start losing some games.

This right here makes no sense. You wanted us to lose so we would be more ready to win another game???
Rationalize that for me.

1 team had to lose yesterday. The Vikings or the Eagles. Since we play the Eagles twice and the Vikings once, It gives us an advantage TODAY that the Eagles won. But a month from now that could be totally reversed.

The original poster has missed the mark. It would have been much better for the Eagles to lose because the actual L in the loss column means more than anything else. Since they got a W a win puts them in a first place tie with us, but would bump is to a wild card spot due to tie breakers. That's not good.

it's a blessing because the Vikings loss means they have the same number of losses as the Cowboys and the Cowboys are that much closer to a first seed in the NFC

I wouldn't worry so much about the Vikings being the number one seed. They looked very mortal yesterday. I don't see 15 and 1 in their future playing like that. They looked more like a 9 and 7 team yesterday.
