I know. I understand negative people focus on the negative only as you did and making a year long prediction about a team not being able to finish the Eagles game. A team with an all new coaching staff and 30% player turnover. A team that didn’t play their starters in the preseason. A team that played the defending SB champions Mano el Mano and showed signs we haven’t seen from them in years. You’re too blinded by your hate to be able to see that and recognize it.

There were positives….i liked motion being used 42 or so %. I thought the o line looked good. Definitely positives but the results were the same. Last year we dominated the browns in week 1- it meant nothing.

If you haven’t seen signs from them in years (your words) it sounds like you’re a hater lol. I’ve seen signs from this team many times that they looked very good, the issue is it is never sustained and only flashes.

Finding a way to steal a game does wonders for morale.

Losing that game is shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Finding ways to lose winnable games shows no difference to me in the grand scheme of things.

The sad part is that they wasted a good effort from Dak between drops and the costly turnover.

I tried telling folks who said this team sucks and is going 6-11. Team can’t run the ball, defense can’t stop the run and Dak sucks.

The loss sucks. They had em. Fortunately, this is the first game of the season and these bright spots have me feeling good going forward:

* Dak looks very mobile, strong and aware.
* The run game looked so much improved from recent years.
* The offensive line dominated IMHO. A few mental mistakes, but they didn’t get out physicaled.
* The defense actually made in game adjustments and clamped down on the run. Barkley only had 60 yards. Hurts was awesome on the ground though.
* The team overall looked prepared. First game of the season you know they’re going to be fired up and they were. But they played within themselves, not like that yahoo Carter, and kept the pressure on throughout the game.
* I saw toughness from the team. Dak making that TD saving tackle after the fumble is going to pay dividends within themselves locker room.
* Only 4 penalties.

Probably won’t shut up all the habitual critics but maybe some.

They turned over 1/3 of the roster, and something like 9 or 10 new starters.

Its definitely a different team. I dont blame anyone for not believing because they've had nothing to go on and last season left was rough. When you have a season like that and most of your core has been around for awhile its easy to think they are going the wrong direction.

For all we know they might still be, but I believe this team will compete for a playoff spot. My vote was 11-6, but I stated I'd be completely unsurprisingly by 6-11.

As "good" as the OL is, they faltered a bit in 2nd half.

That DL need to develop an identity. With a munster.

There are always signs of hope with this team. But in true Cowboys fashion they snatched defeat from.jaws of victory. When they had to make a few plays that was right there they didn't. When they had to just not make a simple mistake they did. They found a way to stay close but make enough mistakes not to win it.

Its now in the DNA of this team in the past 15 years. It runs in the organization. Its in the DNA of the fans. We celebrate moral victories.

I am pissed off about this loss. I want the players to be pissed off. I want the owner to be pissed off. I want the fans to be pissed off. I want the Dallas media to be pissed off. But everyone is ignoring that we lost. Couldn't finish. Made mistakes. Didn't make plays that were right there

If Dak really thinks this team is good enough to be in CCG, they should have expected to win this game and they all should be extremely mad.
