Water under a bridge, but I agree that in watching the replay, the rule makes no sense. Common sense says it was a catch. If he had broken the plane of the goal line, it was a TD.
HUGE difference in plays. In that one Dez catches it, runs and literally springs forward to stretch it out. Rewatch yesterdays again and be honest without being a Cowboy fan and I can see it being him just falling to the ground
I can honestly see it both ways. And for that reason I think the ruling on the field should have stood. Though I also want to see the clear visual evidence of the ball touching the ground without it being in Dez control. If either of these issues are true (possible football move or the bobble was never when the ball was touching the ground) it should be ruled a catch.
You know I think we just need to leave this call alone. Its not going to do us any good, It is what it is. We could have blown GB out but we didnt and that is what I have a harder time to deal with instead of that one play. We left too much on the field to be stuck on one play. Lets not be like Detroit and lets move pass this without prejuidce.

Yesterday I was screaming that it was a football move and shouldn't be overturned but again the more I look at it I don't see his last move as a move but just the act of going down. As far as hitting the ground its obvious it hit the ground. The ball hit sideways on turf and popped up

I guess taking steps forward and reaching for the endzone is not an act common to the game of football.
Had it in two hands and clearly shifted it to this left.
The ball never moves until he contacts the ground during his lunge.
Anyone who saw that play and doesn't think it's a catch I wonder if they ever played football.
Just disappointing.
I played football and that is a really weak comeback by the way. Desperation.
There are a lot of people out there who don't think its a catch. Cris Carter was just one saying the rule was followed right. I just like being objective vs. ranting because my team lost. You call it a **** to one hand and I just call it the act of catching the ball while falling. Look at the top video from the OP and the video from yesterday and you will see a CLEAR lunge vs falling forward.
