I don't think the eagles can win 8 games in a row but that's just me .
and
And they didn't even re-scan as previously stated...You don't comeback after 5-6 weeks with a broken collar bone, no way you can sustain a hit...
I said the same thing last week. But really, until they are mathematically eliminated, there is no reason to put Rodgers on IR. So even if the Packers had lost and the Lions had won, would that have changed anything? Yes, the Packers' chances of making the playoffs would have been significantly reduced, but they wouldn't have been eliminated. So what purpose does putting Rodgers on IR serve?
Winning tonight is important to the Cowboys psyche they need some confidence coming down the stretch.
In 1995 the most important game of that season was the loss to the Eagles.
I watched an interview with Emmitt after he retired. He stated the 4th and 1 game was devastating to the team but from the ashes they rose to win it all.
He claimed then that Switzer came into the lockerroom and told the team it was his fault. Not to listen to what anyone says. Switzer justified his calling for the same play twice because he "believed in them so very much."
They did not lose the rest of that season all the way through the play-offs.
Now one can lay claim they might have won anyway and nothing Switzer said made a whit of difference. But Emmitt was not rolling his eyes or being sarcastic.
Now I am not equating a loss tonight to the roll the team got on then. But there are games that mean a great deal outside of just win or lose. It has to do with confidence, and getting on a roll as a team.
Hostile territory, brutal environment, motivated Bears because of the Ditka thing and Ratliff facing his old team, that has enough components to make this critical.
In my eyes this is when the championship run starts. Not next week, not two weeks from now, not with an Eagles loss. Dallas needs to win out and end up 11-5 in my mind.
That would go further in making them believe than any of the backdoor success this team has almost come into the last couple of years.
Just my opinion.
Fully agree. Not do or die but very important in their own confidence
From a purely mathematical perspective, tonight is not a must win.
But from an intangible perspective: building momentum, team confidence, winning in December, etc., tonight is a very important game.
With Eagles thrashing the Lions yesterday this becomes a must-win, IMO. I have faith in my 'boys, but let's be honest, were facing Rodgers in a must-win game for the Pack next week and that scares the hell out of me.
Philly goes into Min. next week; host the Bears the following week, I think both games favor Philly.
I'm hoping we split (worst case; fingers crossed) the next 2 weeks and beat Wash and keep our destiny in our own hands.
Hoping Foles comes back to earth in one of these games and we lock up everything before week 17.
Not if Philly win out... As of now Philly leads the division. We must win out to secure our playoff spot. We can't bet on Philly to lose.
Especially with the Packers coming up next week and the "possibility" of the return of Aaron Rodgers. Even without Rodgers the Cowboys certainly don't want to be limping into that game after a loss to Chicago. Philly has Minnesota next week who won't have AP so the Cowboys need to start building some momentum heading into week 17.
Just got a notification Rodgers is not cleared to play this week vs Dallas
Ponder was pretty effective against the Cowboys a few weeks ago and with Flynn looking pretty good yesterday he's more than capable of having a big game against the Cowboys.

That's because he hasn't gotten a new scan. I think he's getting one on Wednesday.
Just giving what was just reported by the Packers. It said he will not play vs Dallas
Can you post a link to the tweet that said he is not going to play against Dallas?
