I'm thinking we run a base 3 WR set.
We de-activate Polite and run JJ from a single back field set off of a 3 WR formation.
This will surely help us in the running game, using Keyshawn in the slot on running plays (i.E. a tight end for blocking disguised)

No matter what though, I would get price on the field as often as possible, even if it's a sub-in and out with Glenn or Crayton.

So you can dress 45 + a 3rd qb?

I wasn't familiar with that rule.

(I'm sure I know the answer, but....) What is keeping us from giving Price the spot that Crayton had. Have Crayton as the "+3rd qb." Surely he could play on the .005% chance we need a 3rd qb to play.

I don't know but I could have done as good a job as Polite on that Blitz, seriously anyone even the kicker would have at leat tried to get a piece of that guy. Hey the kicker had two special team tackles, honestly Polite will be gone soon, BP doesn't forget those who cannot pick up a blitz, it could be a season ender if Bledsoe gets blind sided...

Henson needs all the watching real game action he can get. Lets not make this a Henson tread because by next year you may be very, very suprised at his progress.

Once again, did any of you see the SD game?

Was WR a problem?

Special teams sure as hell was, and price gives you zip to help it, but all of you guys would rather him be activated even though it would likely make our coverage teams WORSE.

Listen to what Parcells has been saying, "Price is a contingency plan," "I don't know how I'll use him," "I don't know the player," "Who em I gonna sit?"

Jerry had a Galloway-like relapse, saw a shiny new toy and jumped. Parcells comments, right from the beginning, have been pretty cold toward Price.

Price plays when Burnett gets back 100%, or if we suffer an injury at WR.

He's emergency depth.

He's a luxury.

But he is not, in Parcells' I gotta get snaps for this guy file.

I think Bill knows a lot more than he is willing to tell the media at some press conference. After all this is the same man who closes practice because he is afraid other team’s spies may be looking in on what we are doing. LOL

Was this not the same BP that said you have to get talent on the field? Well, here he is (Price)
And if the guys that he has on ST can't get the job done, then get their arsses out of here. These dudes are pros and get paid to do a job, and if they can't cover a freakin kick, then they can go sling trash at a sanitation company.

You'd have a point if he were talking about specific personnel packages, but he's not talking strategy.

He's been flat out telling everybody since the last preseason game, Price would be nice for depth, but I like what I have right now and I'm not gonna change it just to play Peerless.

Some just refuse to accept it.

This is simple, Parcells is old school.

If it ain't broke, he won't try to fix it, and WR is not broke.

Special teams are broke and adding Price to the 45, ain't gonna help.

2 + 2 still equals 4.:D

I agree, and Price needs to cover kicks better than the other guys to be active, or his arse needs to sit.

We shall see, I think Price will be in the lineup just my point of view. I also know that Bill says many things and no where did he say he would not play Price. Now isn't that also a fact? I have not heard nor saw any report by Parcells saying Price is not going to play. So we will know on Monday if Price plays or not. I think he will

Maybe I'm a little slow here, but if adding one WR makes or breaks our special teams, then I think we're in trouble. I mean, I just don't remember Tom Landry pondering if he should dress Butch Johnson or Golden Richards because it might hinder the play of the special fricking teams.
If we have a playmaking WR, which I believe we do, play him! Pull a few of the bone heads who screwed up last week, & replace them with some of the players on the practice squad & see what they can do. One should not be an issue over the other. The same thing with the Keith Davis quandry. Do I play him at FS or keep him at ST? WHAT??!! If the dude's good enough to play FS, you play him at FS!! If there's a problem of it creating a hole in ST, then play him there, too. Man, he's making enough money.

Come on, Bill, come out of it! Scared of trying a guy for fear of affecting ST....what will we have next??

Yeah we will.

Keep in mind who was saying Price would be inactive last week against the overwhelming play him bandwagon.;)

What we will have is a loss.

You give Price a spot, he runs 4 or 5 plays, maybe he catches a pass, and we give up a punt or kick off return for a TD that beats us.

It's a balance, this ain't Madden.

Price playing means a ST player sits.

It means Key, Glenn, Crayton, or Witten sits.

Parcells knows what he has with those players, and it worked very well in SD.

Price is a luxury, period.

I don't think any of us have a say so. I would like to see Price out there and think he will get his chance this Monday

Honestly ask yourself, does he make us better?

Does he give us a better chance to win?

He is not an upgrade over what we had at WR against SD.

He won't make the area that almost beat us in SD better, ST.

He's the toy that everyone wanted and it's wrapped and under the tree, but it is still two weeks until Christmas.:lmao2:

I have done that and yes I think Price would make the overall offense better. Ask yourself you really think Barber makes us better? The guy was lost on special team and is not going to get a chance to play the RB position with Jones and A-Train ahead of him. Yes special teams hurt us thus Bill has said Keith Davis is going back to special teams. Easy sit Barber fumbling don't know what to do on special team ars down. Sorry I don't see Barber being an assest at this stage for the Cowboys I see him bringing nothing to the table at all!

Hehe so true Zebra I think people are enamored by the big name and what he did 3 years ago.

Any how getting Price on the field is not a priorty; in fact i will say it now Crayton is a better player. Thats right Crayton is a better player he has better hands he runds good routes; he is more physical than Price and Crayton blocks well in the running game for a wr.
