ST killed us last week - lets stick with those studs.

BP said Price will be a gametime decision.

Hehe so true Zebra I think people are enamored by the big name and what he did 3 years ago.

Any how getting Price on the field is not a priorty; in fact i will say it now Crayton is a better player. Thats right Crayton is a better player he has better hands he runds good routes; he is more physical than Price and Crayton blocks well in the running game for a wr.

I love Crayton been in his corner since late last season this has nothing to do with Crayton.

Price has nothing to do with sticking with who played special teams, NOTHING.

It's your new deflection tool.

We need to fix the coverage teams, Price playing helps that how?

Game, set, match, bye, bye.:D

You fix it by putting guys like Davis and James back on the unit and sit players who are no where close to being ready to handle the duty it appears that is what Bill will do and if that is the case then Dallas should be able to get Price dressed on game day

I have done that and yes I think Price would make the overall offense better. Ask yourself you really think Barber makes us better? The guy was lost on special team and is not going to get a chance to play the RB position with Jones and A-Train ahead of him. Yes special teams hurt us thus Bill has said Keith Davis is going back to special teams. Easy sit Barber fumbling don't know what to do on special team ars down. Sorry I don't see Barber being an assest at this stage for the Cowboys I see him bringing nothing to the table at all!

Apples and oranges.

Who sits when Price plays?

Key?

Glenn?

Crayton?

Witten?

Who sits if Barber plays? Thompson.

If Price wants to return kicks and play gunner, and can do those thing better than the other guys, he makes us better.

Since Price makes us better in the hypothetical world, let's flip it.

Price gets a spot on the 45, and we again go with 7 OL. Petitti has been battling injuries and so has Rivera. All of the sudden we have Gurode at RG and Tucker at RT and zero back ups. That could not hurt us, could it?

Price gets the spot, and Copper sits. Pile gets trapped outside and Moss returns a punt for a TD. That would not hurt us, right?

Price gets a spot and we sit Ogbogu, Burnett is not 100%, and Ware has to play 90% of the snaps and he comes up short on the pass rush and Brunell gets off a TD pass late. That just fine and dandy, correct?

Price is listed as backup to Key but he can come in for any of the WR, not that uncommon for teams to rotate WR through out a game if you have the personel to do it with. As for Barber, he is not going to get a chance to carry the ball behind Jones or Thomas heck Thomas got 1 series last week so a 3rd RB on game day is not a big issue. As for ST of course any return for a TD can hurt us thus you sit guys like Barber and you put Davis and James back in which again if your read all of the artical Bill has said he very well may call on both Davis and James on special teams and if both of those guys are added to special teams then yes it would allow you to sit someone like Barber.

How the hell do you come up with this? This is almost too funny, to justify your stance you draw up a scenario that puts Price in a bad light. Right now our Special teams suck and guys like Barber who did a lousy job is not making this unit better. We could keep the same people that we had last week on special teams and there is a good chance Moss could take it the distance. If we were talking about a unit that looked great then I would agree with you but when we have some guys who are starters and have played special teams and done a good job on that unit then you put them back on the special teams and you sit guys who hurt you just as Barber did.

You still don't get it.

Why is he needed?

Why is Price getting 4 or 5 plays better for us than carrying an extra OL, DL, LB or DB?

Where is the outcry to activate Ratliff?

Ratliff makes our DL rotation deeper, played all preseason on ST, and gives us a big TE for short yardage. I'd say all that makes him more valuable than Price.

Parcells specifically mentioned that scenario in his PC.

Your entire argument is based on what Price might bring to the offense, but a scenario that Parcells himself brought up is funny.

From the PC recap:

So special teams factor into which WR’s you dress?

Well, Copper made two tackles on the punt team last week. They got Santana Moss as a potential punt returner, and I’m very worried about that. Two years ago Thrash hurt us badly on a kick off return.

Here's the key for me. For Parcells to be able to take Price as a fourth receiver, Price would need to do something besides just play receiver. Now, at his size I can't see him as a gunner or much of a coverage specialist, but if I was him I would be lobbying hard to return kickoffs/punts. (I think he'd have a better chance at winning the kickoff job because we haven't found an answer there.)

If he could prove capable of that in practice, then Barber could be inactive because that's basically all he is doing ... since he's not very good in kick coverage. With Jones and A-Train, we don't have to have more than two active RBs for game day, and I really don't see Barber or Thompson contributing much in the backfield for a while anyway.

Very interesting PC. Taking a 4th WR.....could present a delima on ST. I thought BP explained that aspect very well.

He'll be on the field. It seems like some people would like to just pay him 2 million to be inactive for 16 weeks, so our STs can improve. That makes alot of sense.

After a horrific ST fiasco like last week. Parcells already said he was dressing a different mix of players. Price dressing is going to happen.

I don't like paying money for car insurance every year when I have not had an accident, but guess what?

I'm still waiting for a logical reason, did not get one last week and how did that turn out? :lmao2:

Still waiting......

I gave legit reasons for thinking Pepper might be active, unlike someone I can mention.

I said 8 LBs too. Funny you are not bringing that up when you had Fujita, Pile, and Jones inactive.
