Michael Irvin and other members of this board thought a loss would be a good thing for this team going forward to keep them hungry.

This is that loss.

This team played horribly and had to feel the pain of a loss creeping up in their stomach for 3 and a half quarters.

They managed to win.

Patriots got an ugly win against a lesser team last week. We just got ours. A win like this serves the same purpose as a loss. This team knows they kneed to get better if they don't want that loss feeling to creep up.

NYG have a defense that has a similar makeup to Minn. They spent big and it's paid off.

We play like that against NY, and it's a loss. Hopefully Pitt can take care of them at Heinz Field.

We had a solid 3-4 drives killed by penalities. Chances are that isn't going to happen every game.

I actually don't feel like our offense played that horribly besides some close penalities that aren't called all the time.

Solid points in regards to penalties. But those often happen because players are beat and out of position, which was the case tonight. But I agree, I don't see that happening too often.

Escobar is awful. We really miss Swaim. One of our strengths is no longer a strength. It's not a weakness, but it sure as hell isn't a strength anymore.

Not worried about the Giants. Should have beat them in game 1.
we should be worried ,they will play us exactly like week 1 which is to get us in 3rd and long situations by stacking the box early and hoping their talented CBs can win one on one matchups.

How in the world is the Giants D shaped like Minnesota lol. Giants linebackers are trash compared to Minnesota's. Vikings also have a MUCH better secondary. Only thing you can maybe compare is the D lines and that's honestly a stretch also

Exactly, penalties is what made this game so ugly for us.

Yeah the Giants defense isn't anywhere close to Minny's. Similar makeup? Please

Yeah, they spent big money this offseason and it's paid off so far. They have a nice front four, a legit safety, and a solid secondary. Very similar makeup. Minn has edge at LB, and Minn is better for sure, but NYG is no slouch either on the defensive side of the ball.

Wow you keep believing this nonsense. The Giants defense is not on the same level as the Vikings.

I literally just said Minn is better for sure.

If you can't see the comparison in regards to the players and their makeup I don't know what to tell you.

The NY defense is no where close to the Minny defense

I'm talking about the type of players that they have. They aren't as good overall, but they have a similar makeup in regards to the types of players they have at their positions.

This is still a 2 TE offense and you have to have a TE like Witten that can block and catch and then the other TE is more of a blocker.

Without Swaim we don't have that valuable #2 TE as Escobar stinks on ice. We really need to look for some quality blocking TE's to help us out.

I thought the defense, outside of Carr played pretty well. Hitchens may have had his best game ever in coverage and I thought Anthony Brown looked good.

We just couldn't get into the right ebb and flow on offense. WE would make some first downs and then get killed by a penalty or the Whitehead fumble or a poor playcall. Hopefully this serves as a wakeup call and we can put that extra rest to good use next week.

And their SS. Rodgers-Crom and Jenkins are solid CB's. I previously had said Minn had the major edge at LB
