I have zero idea what's going to happen this week. I can see literally any outcome. Big win, close win, big loss, close loss. Tie. I'd be lying if I said I was glad it was the big Sunday Night game, though. I'd much prefer an early 10AM Sunday start and to get it over with without all the national attention.
true, that is further proof of a "That" game..thanks for that.

mens and comely womens:

I hope you read my words. I do belief this is THE game.
Not only because we can lead the nfl east but it wood be a statement game.
A game that Romo could show how good he and Dez be and how many weapons we half and how shrood we can be when i come to coaching.
This is the biggest game off the year belief me.
I cannot wait. I am all a twitter and half bees in ms. busty's bonnett.
I am halfing the neighbors over and the propane will be fueling the grill and mein kitchen we will make a feast since the lone star card is reloaded.
I cannot wait. It will be better than christmas if we win.

Yep, in all the cowboys forums I have been in, every game is that game. During every game you see the "we suck again" and "we are winning the superbowl" threads. Always.
Really? Did you even read before you responded?

I'm talking about something very specific...not even close to this.

no,no.no...you have totally missed the point of "that" game.. please let me explain further.

It's not by any means the next 'important" game..................................................................................It's when all the emotion is there and a division rival........................It's when it could be for the East Crown..........................................it's when there's no way you are coming into our house and taking a playoff spot,Division crown or wining on national TV.

That is my definition of "That" game and Dallas has failed in these game for far too long. This is why i'm talking about it so i don't have to watch it unfold again right infront of my bleeding eyes......

Ok, if that's what "That Game" means to you. Most would interpret "That Game" as simply a "must win" which it and the remaining games actually are. All joking aside, Dallas can ill afford to lose any of the next three games and get into the playoffs.
And to respond to your explanation of "That Game" above, you're absolutely right, it is all of that.

I disagree completely. In order to be in "that game" we need to be a sound football. Which we have never been for quite some time. We've lacked the O line to run and protect Tony. We've lacked the interior push on the D line. Can you imagine DWare's career had we had someone in the middle pushing the pocket and closing down lanes for DWare to smash? Only this year do we have an Oline. We are still missing the D Line necessary to compete in January. "That game" doesn't apply yet. We have simply over achieved this year because our D is playing with guts while having very little talent.

Yes, I prefer the day games, too. Sunday Night games tend to make my work life miserable for the next couple of days after. I tend to stay up and watch every interview, read every snippet, etc, especially after a win. If we get blown out, I'll meekly go to bed and dread coming to this site for the next few days. :)

Oh yes I read what you wrote and it's basically the same stuff that's written every year.
Just because it's packaged different doesn't mean it's not the same stuff. We could win "that game" and still not make the playoffs. So if that were to happen, would it really be "that game?"

your still off a little.....it's still not a "Must win" although it kinda is. I've seen our cowboys fail too many times when the emotion and will is more powerful than the Dallas Cowboys. I want to see the Cowboys take that **** back. The backbone is what the treasure is here.

If we win in the AM, the day is great. If we lose, I'm bummed but eventually get over it. If I have to wait all day for Sun night...well, we better win or the whole day has been shot getting amped up and then disappointed.

Plus, I do worry a bit about us performing under the spotlight still.

I totally agree with you. take the playoffs out for a sec. This game is the game of the year when its aganist.

1. A division rival

2. A chance at the NFC East Title.

3. A home game for Philly (We all know that's a very bad place to play)

4. National TV Sunday Night.

All accounts are stacked aganist Dallas..........................I want to see this team finally over come that. It's not happened in a while.

That and only that is the reason this is "That" game...

Sorry, I rolled my eyes when I read this. The Cowboys have not failed because the emotion and will was more powerful than they could handle. You are suggesting that the other team wanted it more. I don't believe that. You don't get to that level and have a let down like that unless you're pretty evenly matched. By you saying that you are completely ignoring the fact that past Cowboys teams have not been solid. No Oline, No DLine and inferior coaching. We lost more games due to those three issues than "emotion and will".

That's like the misconception about Michael Irvin. Everyone loves Irvin because of his fire and leadership. If we weren't winning Super Bowls, our fan base would have torn him apart as a drugged out womanizer who was more concerned about acting like a diva than winning championships. People completely forget about him stabbing a guy in the neck. Why? Super Bowl rings. That's why...

Well, you're right in that it is not an absolute must win, but our odds of making it in with a loss are not great. I know what you're saying regarding emotion, etc. The Cowboys in past years have seemed to back down when it came to facing the bully. I'm tired of the cowering. I want to see this team go in and kick the bully square in the nuts, for a change. I just don't know if we have enough pieces to make that happen right now.

I really do think this game determines our season. It's going to be a good one.

Every game in late Nov and Dec is a game that potentially determine the season.

Honestly I am kinda tired of everyone saying this game is THE game or THAT game is THE game. To me.....the NEXT GAME is always THE game.

We said as well as the media all said the Chicago game was IT. It we don't win that then Eagle game won't matter. Now it's in hindsight Chicago game is not longer a big game. Like always no one will remember the Chicago game anymore and Romo didn't win a big game.

ok, we will just have to agree to disagree...i still have burning Cowboys helmets in my mind by Commanders fans at the end of the last game in the old stadium when they had no business wining. The game escapes me because it's been several years but Dallas went to philly in an emotional game and we got our *** handed to us..before the game even started i said ''Oh, ****..this aint gonna be good" and sure enough...it was over at half time.

I want to see this team.......................man up and get it done. not sure this is the team because the defense has many holes..i'm just hoping for the best. All past results when the stack is so big for the other team Dallas has a 0% chance at this one...thats why i want to change it now. so history does not repeat it's self................

Sunday Night will be a big game for the Cowboys but the following Sunday afternoon will be just as big vs the Colts because the Cowboys are going to have to win both. They may have to win out to make the playoffs.
