Defensive production feeds off the offense, Dallas can't do as they did last time going 4 of 12 on 3rd down and much of that was due to being in longer yardage situations. I think when playing quality teams you can't just go 1 dimension and say just run it. When Dallas beat the Seahawks Romo had 32 pass attempts and 2 TD passes and Murray ran it 29 times for 115. If people think Dallas will just run it vs a stacked line of Philly they are mistaken. I expect us to run I also expect us to be able to attack the Philly secondary

So do I. This is a very important game, and getting too one sided just plays into Phillys hands

Over the last five seasons, the problem has been that we haven't had "That" team, but this is the kind of game that should tell us how close we are right now.

Agree. We have gotten over the .550 barrier, now it's time to show we can win key games when there is no margin for error.

Yeah, you can do that vs some teams when dealing with top teams you better be able to mix it up. It is not like we do not have a strong passing attack we do

Go post in the negative town forum. Dallas has got this one man. The O line is gonna pound on these boys. As long as Dallas controls TOP and sicks to the run game, we pull away from them late 3rd and never look back.

I agree.

Unless..

Dallas gets down in the 1st quarter by 2 scores again.

As long as we can stay balanced and not rely on Jason Garretts horrible passing schemes that revolve around Romo buying time or Dez making a superman catch then we will win.

This Sunday night will not be for the faint of heart for Cowboy fans. I have been a fan for many years and in the resent past Dallas has not shown well in "High Emotional" games especially in Philly.

Coming off the loss to the Seahawks and battling for the East crown at home that place will be "All hands on deck" for this one.

If our Cowboys start "flat, slow, bad break" the task will be too much to overcome.

All i can say is "Run Demarco run!!!" and hope Sanchez reverts to a mistake or two we all know he is capable of.

I don't care if you guys stash this thread on the last page of the forum, just don't delete it because if we talk about it and call it to the light "That" game won't unfold as we've spoke it. I've seen it too many times and Dallas has not had the will to overcome it yet. Here's hoping this team is truly different. I just don't want to be able to predict "That" game again. We shall see Sunday night.

Yes, it is. And yes, we will. I"m good with that -- ten days to rest and prepare, relatively healthy team with all of our big guns ready to go, can't ask for more. If we can't get it done, it simply wasn't meant to be. I fully anticipate that we will get it done.

I believe the Cowboys are going to have to throw more to beat them. Russell Wilson had his second most productive passing game of the season vs Philly. Colin Kaepernick who's struggled this season was effective vs Philly in the Niners win over them. Carson Palmer had a huge game vs Philly in AZ's win over them. Aaron Rodgers destroyed Philly through the air in the Packers blowout win over them. Every team that's beaten Philly this season had success through the air. Wilson, Palmer, Kap and Rodgers combined for 9 TD passes vs Philly while Romo didn't throw a single TD pass against them.

This is essentially the Cowboys playoff game. Familiar divisional opponent on the road, prime time in front of a hostile crowd. I absolutely agree with the OP that this is THAT game. Everything the team has hopefully built this season up to this point will be put to the test Sunday night. How will the team and coaches respond? Will we see the mostly composed and resilient bunch we saw in Seattle a hostile environment a couple of months ago, or a seemingly clumsy error filled performance we saw on Thanksgiving and in other recent elimination games?

So, obviously the Colts and Commanders games are just as important in the standings. But Sunday night you have 2 teams essentially playing for a common prize - the division title. It's as close as you get to an elimination game without actually being in the playoff round.

PS. the Commanders game is a lock W for the Boys. I'd be shocked if we don't win by 12+ points.

If we win this, the Colts game will become "That Game".

Exactly - if we lose to Philly and beat the Colts and Skins and make it into the playoffs the Philly game is forgotten a lot faster than the Washington game we lost.

It's not over til it's....well, you know.

Throw in a special teams or D TD for insurance purposes. Philly has lived off those all year, making it easier for their O to stay in / win games.

They're scoring 26 ppg without the STs and 30 with them. So we have our work cut out for us. I would love to beat them but this will be a tough game on a national stage. The latter makes me think that this is a defining moment for these Cowboys.

Romo needs to have the game of his life. We are going to give them a good fight to the end, but I don't see us winning. I just think they are a better team, at home. That's where they play their best ball.

We'll still be in the playoffs. The Colts don't have anything to play for, and the rest of the schedule sucks. We'll probably see Philly again.

I know, it always drove me nuts that they didn't have the will to beat teams that were better than they were.
That's true some were and some were not...however, i just want a win aganist a team that is equal or not as talented than Dallas when there is much at stake. Just once i want to go into philly and say.

1. Don't care this crowd is hyped out of their mind. (we can deal with it)

2. Don't care its for a division title (We can deal with it)

3.Don't care it's prime time on national TV (we can deal with it)

4. Don't care you just beat our *** ( Now its your turn)

Dallas has done none of the following in years...and for sure when you stack all the chips and have to listen to "Joe Buck" sweet Jesus.....you guys would hear me all the way in North Carolina yelling if Dallas got the "W".

Disturbing the peace charge will happen as it will be late on the east Coast.....:)

The Cowboys have been thinking about this one since it ended. The team we saw on Thanksgiving was not the one we'll see Sunday night.

And the Cowboys are the ONLY quality win the Eagles have. Everybody says the Cowboys beat only two teams (Houston and Seattle) with a winning record, but who has Philadelphia beat with a winning record? The answer- Dallas and Houston.

Philly lost to the 49ers and Cardinals, was absolutely smoked by the Packers, and were totally outclassed by the Seahawks. If the Eagles do make the playoffs, they'll be one and done.

If romo has a typical road game (best qbr in the league) i like our chances

This is why this game is so important. If Dallas cannot beat the Eagles, then what is the point of the playoffs to begin with? To say we made it and enjoy the home game version of the playoffs?
