if they don't make the playoffs after starting 6 and 1 you wont have to worry about a extension for him or therest of the coaching staff
I really don't see how yesterdays game was on the coaches ... that was some terrible quarterback play.
half our starting cbs? who are you referring to? claiborne? he was only here for a short time and starting b/c scandrick was suspended. c'mon man i can't let you get away with that. he's a nobody on this team. same thing with sean lee. he was hurt months and months ago. team had time to prepare for his departure.
so we've had an injury to durant who is a good player, free to parnell drop off is minimal, and leary for one game. this is not a big deal and shouldn't be used as an excuse for garrett. look around the league, heck just look at our division. skins have missed multiple games without their starting qb, lost tight end reed for multiple games, orakpo out for the year, lost their starting nose, half their secondary including the emotional leader of their team in d. hall.
the eagles just lost their starting qb for weeks, ryan who is the heart and soul of their D for the year, herremans got hurt again and they whether thru the storm when half their oline was out for the 1st half of the season. pro bowler mathis out for weeks, barbre out for the year, lane johnson suspended for a month, and their starting center kelce for 2 months.
we have had it good my friend.
I agree with some of your points but even if we had many holes on the roster I do think Garrett did cost us about 2-3 games a year, there were games that should have been won if not for por game management. (pre 2014).
We have a better team this year and the addition of Linehan has been huge IMO, I wouldn’t extend Garrett until after the season but my view of him has changed, I wanted him gone after the 2012 and 2013 seasons but he has done a good job this year, I think he´s likely to get an extension after this year (unless something drastically bad happens in the next 7 games) and I´d be all for it.
We will agree to disagree. The Eagles...the team we will probably be battling with...they just lost those players YESTERDAY. You missed the loss of Bruce Carter. You missed the amount of games Anthony Spencer has missed. You missed the amount of games DeMarcus Lawrence has missed. You missed the amout of games that Scandrick has missed. Listen...I am not the biggest Garrett fan in the world....and we did get off to a 6-1 start in SPITE of the injuries. But they are starting to mount...and when I consider all of the road games we have in cold weather cities down the stretch....10 wins would be huge. If we win 10 games and miss the playoffs....especially with the arrow of the organization pointing up....and Romo with about 3 years...you going to fire him?half our starting cbs? who are you referring to? claiborne? he was only here for a short time and starting b/c scandrick was suspended. c'mon man i can't let you get away with that. he's a nobody on this team. same thing with sean lee. he was hurt months and months ago. team had time to prepare for his departure.

Jason Garrett sucks.. I stood by that stance when the team was doing good and when we're doing bad as well...
There's actually something to be said for the idea that adversity makes teams better over the course of a season. Hypothetically, we get an opportunity here to adjust offensively to a blitz-heavy game plan, and we take that off the table if we do so it's not a surprise for us later in the year. Hit the bye. Get healthier. Get Lawrence up to speed, some more playing time for Hitchens, and Brent in the lineup. Make a few personnel changes (like more defensive snaps for Patmon, for example. Or more Melton) to keep things fresh on defense. And then run the gauntlet in PHI (whose injury issues are worse than ours by a fair amount), and hit the ground running after Thanksgiving with a shot at being one of the hot teams in the final stretch for once.
Not saying that's going to happen, but I'm pointing out that it could be possible. Think how boring sports movies would be if the good guys just won all the time and never had to overcome anything. Much more satisfying to take a punch or two along the way to prove you can take a punch when you need to.
Hate to break it to you, CATCH, but that's not dedication to a principle, that's just ignoring the available evidence. Teams with head coaches who suck simply don't 'do well.'

Yeah, by my definition, Superbowl and National Championship coaches, by definition, also don't 'suck.' The same goes for guys like George Siefert.
Plenty of sucky coaches have had a bit of success.. Garrett hasn't even had a bit yet. The guy hasn't even made the playoffs and has not once gave us a game day advantage.

Coaching didn't stand out, but the players just got physically beat yesterday. The line lost the battle in the game, and so did the receivers. The QB looked like a camp body rather than a legitimate player.
