Went to church today and several men were talking about how far the Cardinals can go. They wanted to know my opinion of whether they could host the NFC Championship or not if the Eagles win out too. I quote...

"What do you think the chances are WE could host the Championship to decide the Super Bowl."

Naturally I wanted to know if they were Cardinals fans. It would be news to me. Some of them professed that they were. One guy I have known for 10 years. Now he's a Cardinals fan?

Front runners suck.

The answer is none.

The Cards lose next week.

Reminds me of the game I went to when the Cards still played at ASU. Walking in I did not see one redshirt or any Cards gear. It was like being in Texas Stadium. Then the Boys wet the bed the game goes into overtime and the stadium is rocking with redshirts and Cardinals fans everywhere. Oh and the Boys lost and I had to sit there and watch these Cardinal fans storm the field and tear down the goal post. They must make reversible Cowboy/Cardinal gear in Arizona or something.

The only good news to the underachieving this year is I don't get a crooked eye from folks in Florida when I say I am a Cowboys fan.

Loyalty breeds character. No loyalty, questionable character. (At least, on the football side of things.) When a team wins, all sorts of bandwagon fans show up, only to disappear when things get tough.

Up until last year my boss was a diehard Jets fan. After the Giants won he said he was a Giants fan. I call him a bandwagon fan all the time. :laugh2:

Don't be too hard on them, let's be honest, if you really *were* a Cardinals fan, would you have any choice but to disguise yourself as a fan of another team? Outside of Phoenix, a Cardinals jersey might as well be a Kick Me sign.

Hos, let them have their fun...at least the Cardinals earned their spot in the playoffs and then won a game....more than what this team did....

I have lived in Tucson for 19 1/2 years. I know 1 Cardinals fan, my landscaper, Ian.

Every now and then I'll see some gear, but people I don't know.

These people have talked football to me for years some of them. Never have any of them mentioned that they root for the Cardinals.

Bandwagon, all aboard.

Call me whatever you want, but I've never ridden a bandwagon, been a dront runner, or a fair weather fan.

I am as pissed off as anyone at this season, but the Cowboys are still my team. People who jump ship because a team is losing have no balls.

Dont hate them for supporting their local team. Nothing is worse than a Cowboy fan that has never set foot in Texas.

You're an Arizonan whose team has been eliminated, so why not temporarily adopt the Cards?

That is bull. A fan from another country who has never been to the US is better than a a front runner band wagon fan.

sacrilege.

That's like claiming the Texans if by some off the wall chance they ever advance farther than 8-8

Because I'm not two faced. I hate the Cardinals. They aren't my "2nd favorite team." That idea is foreign to me. I don't even know what that means. I want them to lose.

That's BS. Not all fans that haven't been to Texas are bandwagon fans.

I dont think so. They either just picked the name out of a hat, or picked it from past successes.
