If someone starts a Go Fund Me for a "sell the team jerry" billboard in front of the stadium I'd donate, and probably guarantee you'd have enough money by the end of the week.
Jerry will never sell the Cowboys. The Cowboys are Jerry's identity. The Cowboys are why everyone know who he is. The Cowboys are the reason for his media attention.

It's not on me.

I refuse to go to a game this year.

I refuse to buy merch this year.

I do not support this FO. I'll stream the games and love my team, but I'm not trying to pad Jerry's pockets any further.

I can't really go to games as I live in Cleveland. But if I could and if I did, I'd be making it clear that I want better. I want the Cowboys in the super bowl.

It's tough being a fan with standards...but some of us gotta do it. Too bad for every one of us there are 50 dumb sheeple fans.

How about you just do you, and keep your suggestions about how others go about their lives to yourself.
I literally said “That’s your choice.”

Go yell at a wall.

Like seriously, I didn’t give a single suggestion.

Who is walking out? I will always be a fan of the Cowboys ....... I do not have to give money to Jerry Jones to be a fan of the Cowboys ..... I stream the games ........ I do not buy tickets ........ I do not buy Jerseys.

I guess my issue is that I have such passion for the team that I want better. I watch the games with such energy, and I can't really control that from myself no matter how hard I try. It's just not in my DNA. I grew up in a family of Eagles fans. I go to NJ annually. I see the passion that Eagles and Giants fans have. We may hate how scummy some Eagles fans are, but damn, you think Jerry would fly in Philly? Why is that?

Jerry will never sell the gift that keeps giving. Primarily that gift is the dumb cowboys fans. Some of the dumbest fans on the planet. Several on this forum BTW in case you haven't noticed. LOL!

I know this sounds ridiculous, especially since we are fans. Not to mention I seldom give credence to anything SAS says. However, he said something that made me think that was actually partly right. He stated that we are partly at fault for this season for putting up with this. And you know what? He's partly right. This season is partly on us fans (including me). But not in the way you might think. Let me explain.

What division do we play in? The NFC East, right? Do we not share a division with Philly and the Giants? Does anyone here think that the way the Joneses have run the team the last 29 years would be acceptable in Philadelphia or New York? Of course not! The teams know full well in Philly and New York that they had better perform, or the fans will make their experience hard. Does anyone here think that if Jerry owned either of them that the fans would be as passive as we have been with him and his family? Does anyone think they would accept the unacceptable effort from him this offseason? Does anyone think they would accept the gaslighting from him? If he owned the Giants, what do you think New York media would do to him? What do you think New York Fans would do to him? He wouldn't be allowed to just sit on his laurels. He wouldn't be allowed to just sit back and collect the money he does.

Maybe it's time we let certain aspects of our division rivals rub off on us. There is one Jerry Jones. There are millions of us. The former players like Irvin and Spears have been getting louder about the unacceptable play of late. Maybe it's time we show passion too. Maybe it's time we have an honest look at our team and understand we are at least 3 years (with a proper rebuild) away from even being close to competitive. Maybe it's time we become more passionate at Jerry about our displeasure. I'm not talking about not going to games and such. I'm talking about, if we go to games, maybe start treating the players, coaches, and ownership the way our division rivals treat their players, owners, etc. Maybe it's up to us, at this point, to demand more. Maybe it's up to us to show our passion to the Cowboys and say that this season is unacceptable. Maybe it's time we tell them and show them that they better not have this level of inactivity again. Jerry may have billions of dollars, but all that money in the world can't silence our fanbase. He may be taking the history of the team and dragging us to levels we don't want, but he should not take our passion away.

I've been criticised at times for being angry and not letting my anger consume me. I'm telling you all that my frustration and all that is BECAUSE I have passion for this team. Rather than just saying, "Woe is us" and such, maybe it's time we rekindle our passion in a different way.

Maybe it's time we all unite together to become a joined fan base demanding better. Demanding more from Jerry. Demanding championships. Maybe it's time we learn how to show the passion for our team that our division rivals have. Maybe, instead of saying we're going all the way, we demand better. Maybe we show our displeasure when Jerry is running the show in an unacceptable way.

I love the Cowboys. I always have, and I always will. I dream of the day that I can see us win a SB and not have been in preschool for it. I dream of the day that I see the Cowboys win one finally. I think we all do. It angers me so much to see us like this when I think we knew where the weaknesses were. Yet, it was allowed to fester.

As for Jerry, before, he could do what he wanted because we would just accept it and turn our passion elsewhere. Maybe it's time we understand something. Maybe it's time we understand this fact. Jerry runs the team and has billions of dollars. But, there are millions of us around the world. Without us, his team can't function. He might enjoy money, but, if we started imitating our division rivals at times and really turned our passion the way they do. If we really start showing that we are a passionate fanbase that demands better, who knows? Maybe he starts to realise that he has to change the way he operates.

To do this, instead of our infighting among us fans, let's be united. Let's come together as a fan base, and let's make it clear that what we are seeing being done to our beloved Cowboys is unacceptable. Make it clear we will not tolerate this anymore. We demand championships. We demand excellence. We demand effort. We demand that Jerry builds a team that can compete, and we will not let up on him in the media, in our conversations, and at the stadiums, until he gets teams that can compete. What's he going to do? Ban us from the stadium because we as fans are making life too uncomfortable for him? We have more power as fans than we think.
I totally agree with you, except for one crucial point. There are not millions of us. There are hundreds, maybe a few thousand of us who are die-hard enough to spend our time on a forum like this, and who know the game and the Jones family well enough to know how deep the problem is, and most importantly who are willing to actually talk with our loyalty and wallets. We haven't made an NFC championship game in 30 years and that giant death star stadium is still packed and sold out every week (albeit, by other teams' fans who hate Dallas and make it a destination trip to come watch their team beat us), and that will never change. There will never be enough fans who will willingly boycott going to games (or voicing displeasure), grandmas stop buying their grandsons Lamb jerseys and Cowboys socks, etc., for Jerry to make a real change. He's too dug in and in his mind must prove he's the reason for success. I just said this in another thread, but we basically just have to wait for Father Time to get Jerry and pray Stephen will be a good owner and hire a GM. And, in the meantime, hope that the roster Jerry assembles can win in spite of all this some miraculous way. We're just basically all SOL until that happens.

Hence, the problem continues to fester. All I'm saying with this thread is that maybe the time has come to change our approach. Maybe we need to figure out a way that we can show our passion for our team, but in a constructive way. I don't know. I'm just so angry with this team. I've never seen success. I'm tired of getting mocked and having nothing I can say to defend. I so badly want us to finally win. It hurts to have this much passion and not be able to control it to where I can just stop and switch. It's not my style. As a horse, I can't just switch like that

Give it enough time and your passion will dull.

I mean in terms of us as a fan base. I know this forum isn't the entirety of Cowboys Nation, but we can be an engine that starts delivering what the rest of our fanbase needs. Maybe those of us here that live in Dallas can start calling into radio shows, and conversing like they would in Philly. Maybe it's time we use radio stations and such to educate other Cowboys fans.

I wonder how much it would cost to put a big anti-Jerry message on billboards in downtown Dallas, in Arlington by the Stadium, and as close to the Star as possible? That's something I'd Crowd Fund.
Billboard companies are small and cheap ...... Jerry would buy them all with what he carries in his pockets.

Who are the dumb fans? The fans that thought this team was a contender even though the roster is worse than last year? The fans that think Dak will one day play great in playoffs. The Dakfans that root for Dak more that the Cowboys. The fans that think if the Cowboys overpay their players who choked in the playoffs will somehow make them better?

Lol, just deleted that because I saw someone already commented the same idea. He can waste his money if he wants but at least he'd see them and be embarrassed and angry. I'd donate for him to feel just a modicum of the anger and embarrassment we fans feel on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, decades-long, 30 year basis, lol.

Again, I understand that. I don't like him one bit. But ******! He's not wrong about the lax attitude we take with the team. We say we want better, but we have media people quiet on the Joneses in Dallas. We might boo sometimes at games, but we take no where near the attitude our division rivals take. I'm saying it's time we as fans up our game. It's time we learn how to show our passionate displeasure more completely. Make it clear to Jerry that it's unacceptable that we can have such glaring weaknesses over the years, and he just buys scotch tape to something that needs an entire rebuild.
Problem is, and I have been to games so I can speak from experience, that attending Dallas Cowboys games is in large part a social, meet and greet, gathering of casual fans (if you can even call them that). Sure, they cheer if the team is doing well and some will boo if they don't, or like this last game leave the stadium in the 3rd quarter or such. But only some of them. Most treat the games like dinner and a movie.

Real football fans are in short supply in Dallas, TX, the "I go to Dallas Cowboys games because I paid thousands of dollars for a seat and pay $30 for a pizza or beer, and you can't afford to" "fans" rule. I am a born and bred Texan, by the way, I don't live there now due to the way things worked out in my life (for the better, just to be clear).

I remember the first game I went to, back in the late 80's, sitting way up in the cheap seats and when Dallas did something great and I whooped and hollered loudly, many of the others there turned and looked at me like I was from Mars. And down in the good seats fans were chatting to each other, yawning or looking to see if they were on the screens around Texas Stadium. So, our current "fans" learned how you act at games.

Due I think to the costs involved, fans such as we on this site can't make that much of an impact. The coordination, time and expense to orgamize a boycott of the games or large-scale protests against Jerry is unlikely to happen. Meaing we are waiting on father time to rid us of Jerry and his family, and even then who knows? When the Murchisons sold the team to Bum Bright things didn't get better. If not for the few, short and glorious Jimmy Johnson years we'd be the New York Jets of the South. The next owners may be even worse.

Time will tell, unfortunately I, at nearly age 70, probably won't be around to see it...
