I'm gonna be careful.....and I advise the same, before Jerry bans both of us.

Seriously, It's been bad........the trenches are the key for improvement, on both sides of the ball. Those are the snowball effect areas.

Oh, I know, but at the very least, if we start doing to our players what Philly fans do to their players when they're bad, it might trickle up to Jerry. If the players start saying "Damn, since when did our fans become more like Ny or Philly fans?", that could trickle up to the box. Jerry may not care at first, but the players and coaches will. By behaving like our other division fanbases, it's bound to at least affect the men on the field. If we can make them feel that we don't find their play acceptable, it can start to breed introspection and make it's way to Jerry. He's got a big echo chamber with yes-men. But yes-men can only cover so much if the players start really being affected by it. Maybe it's time as fans we start saying ."You suck! Get off the field loser" to our underperforming team. I think the players would be affected.

I know this sounds ridiculous, especially since we are fans. Not to mention I seldom give credence to anything SAS says. However, he said something that made me think that was actually partly right. He stated that we are partly at fault for this season for putting up with this. And you know what? He's partly right. This season is partly on us fans (including me). But not in the way you might think. Let me explain.

What division do we play in? The NFC East, right? Do we not share a division with Philly and the Giants? Does anyone here think that the way the Joneses have run the team the last 29 years would be acceptable in Philadelphia or New York? Of course not! The teams know full well in Philly and New York that they had better perform, or the fans will make their experience hard. Does anyone here think that if Jerry owned either of them that the fans would be as passive as we have been with him and his family? Does anyone think they would accept the unacceptable effort from him this offseason? Does anyone think they would accept the gaslighting from him? If he owned the Giants, what do you think New York media would do to him? What do you think New York Fans would do to him? He wouldn't be allowed to just sit on his laurels. He wouldn't be allowed to just sit back and collect the money he does.

Maybe it's time we let certain aspects of our division rivals rub off on us. There is one Jerry Jones. There are millions of us. The former players like Irvin and Spears have been getting louder about the unacceptable play of late. Maybe it's time we show passion too. Maybe it's time we have an honest look at our team and understand we are at least 3 years (with a proper rebuild) away from even being close to competitive. Maybe it's time we become more passionate at Jerry about our displeasure. I'm not talking about not going to games and such. I'm talking about, if we go to games, maybe start treating the players, coaches, and ownership the way our division rivals treat their players, owners, etc. Maybe it's up to us, at this point, to demand more. Maybe it's up to us to show our passion to the Cowboys and say that this season is unacceptable. Maybe it's time we tell them and show them that they better not have this level of inactivity again. Jerry may have billions of dollars, but all that money in the world can't silence our fanbase. He may be taking the history of the team and dragging us to levels we don't want, but he should not take our passion away.

I've been criticised at times for being angry and not letting my anger consume me. I'm telling you all that my frustration and all that is BECAUSE I have passion for this team. Rather than just saying, "Woe is us" and such, maybe it's time we rekindle our passion in a different way.

Maybe it's time we all unite together to become a joined fan base demanding better. Demanding more from Jerry. Demanding championships. Maybe it's time we learn how to show the passion for our team that our division rivals have. Maybe, instead of saying we're going all the way, we demand better. Maybe we show our displeasure when Jerry is running the show in an unacceptable way.

I love the Cowboys. I always have, and I always will. I dream of the day that I can see us win a SB and not have been in preschool for it. I dream of the day that I see the Cowboys win one finally. I think we all do. It angers me so much to see us like this when I think we knew where the weaknesses were. Yet, it was allowed to fester.

As for Jerry, before, he could do what he wanted because we would just accept it and turn our passion elsewhere. Maybe it's time we understand something. Maybe it's time we understand this fact. Jerry runs the team and has billions of dollars. But, there are millions of us around the world. Without us, his team can't function. He might enjoy money, but, if we started imitating our division rivals at times and really turned our passion the way they do. If we really start showing that we are a passionate fanbase that demands better, who knows? Maybe he starts to realise that he has to change the way he operates.

To do this, instead of our infighting among us fans, let's be united. Let's come together as a fan base, and let's make it clear that what we are seeing being done to our beloved Cowboys is unacceptable. Make it clear we will not tolerate this anymore. We demand championships. We demand excellence. We demand effort. We demand that Jerry builds a team that can compete, and we will not let up on him in the media, in our conversations, and at the stadiums, until he gets teams that can compete. What's he going to do? Ban us from the stadium because we as fans are making life too uncomfortable for him? We have more power as fans than we think.
Our fans have alot to do with our failures over the last 30 years. They continue to support this organization in record numbers despite the results

Its not so much on the people here. The passionate fans. This team has far to many casuals that use the team as a fashion statement

Jerry has 2 different fan bases. Most teams do not. Fans that love the Cowboys and fans that hate the Cowboys. That is why they are Americas team. Even when we suck, we still have high ratings because fans love to watch us lose.

TV Ratings, ticket sales are not going to go down any time soon regardless of how bad we become.

Maybe if we started wearing paper bags on our heads or made specific signs about hiring a real GM in the stands.

Jerry will need to be humiliated before he will make a significant philosophy change.

Supporting the team is great. We're all fans here. I'm saying the WAY we do may be a problem. Eagles players respect and fear their fans because of how ruthless they can be with their team. Same with NY players. Doesn't mean the teams will always be good. But, you know they play tough. The players, coaches, and ownership here don't fear/respect us nearly as much as they should. They should WANT to have passion from fans. When Dak was asking for us to bring passion, he's right for a different reason than he intended. We don't treat the game nearly like a pro game should be treated. How have we been in the NFC East this long, and not learned what passionate fans look like?

SAS loves to troll this franchise, there is so much material he can run with it's genius. Everybody including him know it's all a joke, and as long as people tune in to see it he's good. Same can be said for every other network ,and Jerry has delivered once again. The gift that keeps on giving

Right, and/or, since we literally play in the same division as Philly, Washington, and New York, we can actually maybe appreciate why they're so ruthless with their team. Maybe we can be as aggressive. I'm not saying to cheer when players get hurt like they did Irvin (it's still sickening to watch them do that). But, maybe we as fans can learn some ruthlessness and toughness from our rival fans. Maybe we can learn to be aggressive with opposing teams. Maybe we can learn to be as aggressive with our team as necessary when the team is playing soft or quitting. Maybe Dallas media needs to call Philadelphia and New York media and ask how to be as ruthless as necessary to Jerry.

Rather than the Cowboys games being a social club and nothing more than just a social gathering, it should be pedal to the metal from fans. Much like Philly fans, when other teams take the field, we need to be just as brutal. If the Eagles are taking the field and they're introducing each player, we need to shout "Sucks" or "Really bleeping sucks". Obviously, don't get into fights in the stands cuz it's not worth going to jail over, but we need, as fans, to remember what division we're in and act like it.

I know he does. But that's why I'm saying, maybe there's something in his trolling we can use. He, either inadvertently or unwittingly, gave us the solution as he was mocking us today. He talked about how much we let this fester. He's right. We have. We're in the NFC East. Let's act like it.

I thought that when they entered the league. It didn't happen. That's why I'm saying, as fans, desperate times call for desperate measures. It's time we remember what division we're in. It's time we learn to be fans of an NFC East fans. Times have changed. This isn't the same Cowboys some of you enjoyed watching. As a younger fan, I've never seen success. I am understanding why Eagles fans and Giants fans are so ruthless. I understand why they're so brutal to their own teams. I'm getting it now. I understand where it comes from now. And you know what? It's time we adopt a level of that.

How does what I am saying imply that I'm wanting to jump ship? What I've been trying to say this whole thread is that, we as fans need to start behaving like the division we're in, to some degree. As a young and fan who grew up a Cowboys family in an Eagles family, as someone who vacations in NJ and lived in Cleveland, I understand why Eagles and Giants fans are so ruthless. I get it after watching the last 6 years. I understand why they have the mentality they do. I understand why they get so aggressive with their teams. Not to mention that I pull for the Yankees, 76ers, and, when they're not playing the Golden Knights, the Flyers. I understand why the toughness from their fans. After watching the last 6 years, I get it now. And you know what? Maybe it's time we adopt some of that.

See but I feel like if those fans did that, THINGS would change, Jerry would talk about how upset he is, say something that confuses us, tell us something that we already know, and leave us hating him even more, because he's NOT going to go anywhere, "that's not how I set this up when I bought this team!"
I don't go to the games. What the fans ought to do is boo the hell of them everytime they come out and play like they did the other day.Let them know that you disapprove of their B.S.

I think the first step is not even saying his name any more and we just start getting used to saying Stephen.

Ignoring Jerry will hurt his ego more than anything.

We need signs pleading to Stephen to take over.

Perhaps, or at least, if we are going to mention Jerry, it's gotta be in a way how our rivals would treat their owners if they were doing what he's doing.

Worked for the Lakers one year :oldcouple: Fans if they stick together have a lot of power. But Jerry knows it will always be the diehards.. The diehards are the fuel for Jerry's failures.

Exactly, we have more power than we think. I know some will question my words, but it's coming from a place of 1. Anger with the team 2. Wanting better and 3. Realising both why our rival fans are the way they are and how we actually have more to give than we are. We can actually bring more passion than we are. We can, instead of giving up and not showing up, actually affect our players. We love them. We want them to do well. But we gotta learn to be assertive and tough. Part of the reason our team is soft is because we treat them much more softly than our rivals treat their players.

They were doing that back in the early 2000s whenever Chad Hutchinson was taking the field at the start of every drive. I felt really bad for him but it was necessary because Jerry got his behind in gear after that and hired Parcells.
