Thought Malik Davis was the best back last night

but Dowdle is by far the best suited for the NFL game at this point. He knows the system, will stand in and block, albeit not as well as I would like but he gets in the way.

From this point I would like to see the coaches focus on putting the following three RBs in these situations.

Dowdle, Davis and Pollard in obvious passing downs. 50% staying in to block. 50% breaking out into a pattern. With at least have of the pass catching option being play action to see how well they can sell the play action then beat the coverage.

We can then assess who can be the #2 option on passing downs, and also who can step in a do Zeke's job if he is hurt.

I think running to daylight is a job done by the entire RB committee with Zeke and Tony handling the bulk of the duties. I am more concerned about the answer for who is the reliable blocking back? Who is the best pass catching back? Who is the best at play action fakes, and can still beat the coverage as the primary option?

These are the questions I want answered this year from each RB candidate. Those on the bubble can win their positions on the 53 if they can also wrap into their play demonic special teams play. This includes Pollard.

I like Davis, by a fairly large margin, over Dowdle and Shampklin, as far as just a runner. The guy has good speed, runs tough, and most importantly to me… he has real nice vision.

However, I’m not going to pretend to know how he is without the ball in his hands. I’m not sure on how he is picking up blitzing defenders or how he is on special teams. How is he in the classroom? Does he know his assignments?

So I’ll leave it up to the team to pick their RB3.

If he is good on all that, then Davis would be a pretty easy choice for me as the RB3. I like the way he runs better than the other two.

For me Dowdle isn't even in the running. It's between Davis and Shampkin with Davis in the lead. He runs between the tackle and finishes runs.

I think Dowdle is playing well. It's a tie between Shampklin and Dowdle, in my mind. I'm high on Malik Davis.

I like the look of Davis but I think I go Dowdle because he's more useful on special teams. We don't need a return guy if we're gonna carry Turpin and 3rd RB is as much about special teams contribution as it is about running the ball.

I think that Davis makes the team. He is an excellent receiver and can play special teams too. I think there is a decent chance that they keep Dowdle also. I think that I want to keep the 4 backs. They are all good.

Pollard was top 3 in ypc and kickoff returns. If u don’t think he has proven himself u are completely clueless. He was one of the most productive RB in the nfl last year. Zeke has more to prove

To me it makes sense to give a guy like Davis a handful of touches a few swing passes a game if nothing else keep 21 and 20 fresh & healthy . Will KM that’s the question .
