Couch was a hell of a QB in college and he played in a pro set offense. He had two problems that wrecked his career (so far). First he was drafted by an expansion team and then came his injury. If he is healed, he should definitely get a look. It sure couldn't hurt to look at him. What I read on this thread is that he would be out until the 07-08 season. Guess what? That's this year.
Good post, I hope they look into the Tim Couch situation.

Tim Couch is busy making detergent commercials,he's washed up.
Who are you gonna suggest next?
David Klingler?

They said the same thing about Jim Plunkett...he went on to win 2 SB's. Don't be so quick to dismiss Couch. He started with an expansion team and has had injuries. Carr or Couch are two guys high on my list as our veteran back ups. Who would you like to see us bring in, Vinny T? LOL.

I'd like a detailed report on Couch's health.
Post #14 of this thread. Had surgery on same shoulder in June 2006 and is not expected to be available until 2008 at the earliest.

NFL | Couch undergoes shoulder surgery, might try one more comeback
Sun, 2 Jul 2006 12:04:36 -0700

Mark Story, of the Lexington Herald-Leader, reports free agent QB Tim Couch (shoulder) has undergone shoulder surgery and will not be able to play football in 2006. It is uncertain if Couch will ever be able to play football again. Tim Couch's older brother, Greg Couch, said, "They found a bad tear in his rotator cuff. It was not something they had repaired before. They don't know if it is something he did (recently) throwing the ball or if it was already there." Greg Couch added that the surgery was about a week ago and that he will not be able to throw for another six months. If doctors do clear Tim Couch again, his brother believes he will try one more comeback attempt.
