Thoughts and opinions about last night's Super Bowl!

yes they have the best roster in NFL I think.

In this game, coaching and game plans were a big factor.

Phil knew KC would focus on stopping barclay so they knew they were going to pass more and Hurts would be running more.

The chiefs lol, were going to pass against one of the best pass rush defenses, and abandon the run !
They should have a plan where they run out side or at weakest spot, and then a short pass game with occasional deeper passes.

I dont know if kelsey just played bad, or eagles double covered him, but he wasnt a factor at all. Mahomes didnt run at all , Hurts did.

I don't think mahome's choked, he was given a stupid game plan, and bad play calling, which against a superior roster made things impossible.

KC also defered,on kickoff, and I think for this game it was maybe the wrong move. But since they had such a bad offensive game plan
I guess maybe it was good.

Phil may be the new dynasty, if they can keep this team together next couple of years.

I learned that Dallas isn't the only team that uses garbage points...

In literally the last 3 minutes for the game for the Chiefs, the chiefs scored 16 points and took the score to 40-20 instead of 40-6. Heck, I didn't even notice when Pickett came into the game.
yeah it just made the score look better, game was over at end of first half !
phil had 24 and chiefs wound up with 24.
Eagles dominated.

Eagles.were not always hitting on draft picks...OT Andre Dillard and WR Jaylen Reagor were 1st round busts...but philly kept pecking at personnel moves, in all three phases..draft, trades, free agency..dealing n wheeling to get future 1st round picks...while we seem content with just moving back to acquire mid round picks.
Every player the Eagles have drafted over the last three years is still on the team..Not too bad.

-Thought the Chiefs were badly outcoached, more undisciplined team
-When a defense plays shell coverage, the way to beat it is to run the football against the light box, they ran the ball just 6 times in the 1st half.
-Chiefs playing their Guard at left tackle finally caught up to them, thought Josh Sweat was the best rusher on the night and earned a big payday this offseason.
-Did an excellent job containing Barkley, but allowed too many rushes to Hurts that got them out of long situations.
-Defensive penalties, ball 3 feet over the head and defender has to hit the guy in the head, Bolton with a personal foul when it's 2nd and 20.

-I think the media can now pipe down says Mahomes is the goat. Two terrible super bowl performances in similar fashion. Not sure many are old enough to have seen Montana, but he never lost, period, just like Jordan. I laugh at people who think Lebron is better, same goes with Brady. Montanta/Jordan never lost and were the reason why they won!!
I agree about kc should have run the ball. And that they were out coached big time ~!!!

But about Joe, he did lose, just not in the SB's he got too. If he didnt lose he would have been in more SB's
Also he lucked out in not having to face any classic good teams in his SB's.
But Joe was a winner, under sized , no real big arm, but he was smart and clutch.

I first saw joe when notre dame played longhorns in cotton bowl,I was for texas lol, and they were ahead late in game,
but this montana guy just played great and led a comeback to win the game lol.
Then a few years later I noticed he was on SF team and I thought wow thats that qb that beat texas, so became a fan of montana his whole career.

Joe would never be drafted high in todays NFL LOL he didnt have the arm or size or good running ability.
He would probably never get a chance to play unless it was a situation like dak where he was the only qb left.

Had brady been drafted to another team, he too would have never got a chance, and there would have been no goat.

They have hit on some good ones in draft and FA .
Howie as GM is ALL PRO !!!!
Then look at the 2 bozo's we have and it just is impossible for dallas to compete with eagles.

Even KC needs to do better if they want to compete with eagles!!! The SB was a beat down lol.

Joe had issues with injuries, far different game when he played as the league didn’t protect the qb like they do in today’s game. No he wasn’t the best athlete, but a great football player!

Only if I could watch TV and eat a sandwich while I did it

Only if she makes the sandwich. She has to go all in.

And after all of this, the bottom line is, the best way to a super bowl is a great D and a ball control O.

Joe was 6-1, had very good running ability, and had a decent arm. His arm was better than Goff, and he's the same size as Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy. In comparison, Joe had a better arm than Purdy and was much more mobile. He was a great scrambler.

I turned it off right before the last two KC tds. Games was over over. Should have turned it off even earlier. The game was over at halftime.

The SB was a beat down lol.
Ironically the eagles were picked to lose, and given KC's recent history, I honestly thought that they would win the game.

That said, before the weeks leading up the SB, when I looked at the stats from the season, seeing how philly compared vs KC, it did look like the eagles could walk over them. I knew some people here on this forum were confident that the eagles would win, but I guess I had blinders on at the "Mahomes magic" on how he wins.

That's why they play the game LOL. I mean it wasn't until the last minute in the 3rd quarter that KC finally scored, and then it was 34-6, and that was the FIRST drive that KC even got past the 50 yard line in the entire game.

That's because they had very few later round picks, and lots of high picks.

However, Kyron Johnson, 6th round LB in 22, is no longer on the team.

This game was a tossup. I guarantee if they played again next week the outcome would be different. Not saying Eagles wouldn't win, but prolly a close game.

Hurts was fabulous! I don't ever want to hear that Dak is better.
The halftime show was trash!

yeah I at first thought KC would win, but then looked at the 2 teams, and phil has way better roster.
I thought the game would be close and that either team could win. I didnt see the eagles dominating like they did.

I think reid was outcoached by siriani and his staff, they had a better game plan and play calling.
KC sucked in both lol. That means trouble when facing a team like philly.

I did read that hurts was really bummed out on the loss to KC in the SB, and he decided he would get back again, and would win
this time, and he did just that!

ok didnt know he was that tall.
by runner, I meant not by todays running qb's , you cant say joe could run as good as hurts, josh allen, lamar etc.
I know he could scramble, and throw good, but he was no elway.

yeah playing qb back then was extremely tough.

That’s what stood out to me too.

The Eagles were already a good team.

But the additions they made last year were just incredible.

Changed out both coordinators.

Had a great draft.

And had hit after hit after hit in free agency and trades.

An incredible accomplishment worthy of praise.
Dallas has owned the eagles for years already, it took for the. Team to not do anything this yr for them to beat Dallas.
