i gave an unbias opinion of the giants because thats what was asked for
I'm not sure who you think you replied to or what you replied to for me but I didn't say anything about your fandom or being a giants fan in that particular reply so maybe you wanna go back and change that??/

Interesting...

If they are blitzing a lot with no deep help, I think they are going to get burned badly with this new offense. Dak will get the ball our quick to his first read and there's no one to stop the YAC.

You aren't jamming Ceedee off the line either.

2.0 seconds holding the line and they will be very busy trying to expand quick enough to slow Dallas.

I hear they are an offset tribe of Mongols from Genghis Khan. They will be ill prepared for the sudden invasion of the Germanic Hordes...even with their oil filled pots for burning alive. The Hordes are great at in fighting using specialized hand axes.

heck I think their starting safeties AND their starting CBs can be exposed .. their entire secondary can be exposed

But watch the match up betweex Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux vs Tyron Smith.
Thibby has such elite first step get off and bend.

Fragile Tyron has been kept on ice all camp so what kind of condition will he be in, much less stay whole healthy.
Will we hear sideline reporters pointing out Tyron is getting medical care on the bench and questionable to return ?:(
I agree as Tyler had had struggles in the 2nd game last year. Tyron better be ready for that speed.

I think the Giants are better than the Eagles and vastly improved from last year.

We are still better but they closed the gap.

Eagles have taken a step back, imo. Also have a tougher schedule.
Time will tell if the Eagles have taken a step back as their offense remains the same

They lost their starting RG and pro bowl rb.

Also a few depth pieces. Paper thin at wr after their first two.

Defense is going to take a big step back, imo
True influences...but I still see a strong team unity experienced now. That, and a very talented and good quarterback that the Cowboys will have to maintain pressure upon.

I see a team that got lucky with injuries last year and will have to pray for the same for similar success.

Gonna be a tricky game. Typically comes down to our front 7 has had their way with them the last few years.

If that happens again like our chances a lot.

I think the Giants overachieved by a few games last season. They got better on both sides of the ball this year, so though they have a better team their results may be virtually the same.

Waller was a good get, but he's really struggled with hamstring injuries. These soft tissue injuries usually dont continue to improve as you get older.

Actually a negative view doesn't jump up and dominate.

Some soldiers are hurt and some aren't. That is the war in an aggressive environment...for all, not just Cowboys.

Player protections and monitoring is improving greatly in the sport. There is a steady improvement at work on all teams. That is progress.

But all teams, not just Dallas, gets serious player injuries that affect rosters. This roster is both strong and deep. An injury to a high profile player always has a potential momentem affect...even against a San Francisco game in the playoffs. Teams still have to overcome momentum changes where they occur. That is professional football, not just the 'bad' luck for Cowboys.

A player who makes a living with his legs...will get well.

I wish I had a good feel for which opening game Cowboys offense shows up - the 2021 version that lit Tampa up on the road, or the 2022 version that spit the bit at home against Tampa?

Preseason provided zero insight since none of the starters played. Essentially, this game is a preseason game for the Cowboys, except it counts.

I would shade the Cowboys way if the game was at the Death Star, but being in NY definitely and the Giants fans will be loud and disruptive makes it a true toss up in my estimation. The Cowboys are going to have to weather the initial emotion the Giants will come out with. They’ll have to not do anything to increase that like turn the ball over. They’ll have a chance if they can do that and get to the end if the first quarter and the game settles down.
I'm worried about the same things as you are. I'm guessing they had live reps in practice against our defense. That should be enough to prepare any team. Take the under in this game.
Last year, Dennis Houston & Noah Brown were starting WRs. Simi Fehoko was the 4th WR. It's amazing the staff thought they were going to be fine with that WR corps.

It’s all fun and games for the Giants until Danny Dimes takes a blind side hit from Parsons.

Thanks for Sharing

Let them Giants fans-crows squawk and chirm as much as they’d like.

- They don’t have the makings of a championship team, imo.
In fact I cannot recall the Giants last time they were in a playoff game ?
Is Danny Dimes a clutch QB ? Is he elite now ?
Who are their proven WR weapons ?

- They have Barkley and Waller on offense - but is that enuff to scare opposing teams ?
Saquon is still a breakaway but he does not oil-slip thru tackles like he did pre-ACL injury, imo.

- Speaking of "Breakaway " - the same threat and danger Barkley presents with his homerun speed,
the same way our own Pollard also presents similar dangerous home run speed.

- Pollard isn’t as lower leg strong as Barkley and he has been underdeveloped as a receiver under Kellen so he’s not as established a receiver as Barkley.

- Dimes improved upon decision making vs mistakes, which gain his team more wins.
But he beats you more with his running legs than kills with his passing skills

- Wilson, Kearse and LVE will handle TE Waller, while the front 6 will have to coral Barkley.
Their WRs should not be enuff to beat Diggs, Gilmore and our secondary.

- Let Giants prove they can beat you vs pass,
Just do not beat ourselves, .. do not make it easy for them with coverage breakdowns and blown assignments.

- Our OL “ should” sustain the Giants but they do present problems with edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux
(who worries the most) His first step is as quick & explosive off ball snap maybe the equal of Parsons.

DE Leonard Williams really has not went nuts on us -even the likes of the past two Conner starters at OG
(McGovern & Williams) and forget it vs HOF Martin

- Giants secondary is very average and can simply be had - McKinnley has been a disappointment and ironic that we have three safeties that are better than Xavier (whose a 1st rounder) Lamb, Cook and Gallup should simply have a FIELD DAY if Dak is protected ..and on his game.

-As with NFL, special teams could be shaky at early games for all teams, before they get more settled as season grows.
So do not panic, if so.

Minor pieces lost on offense, their run game is still all about Hurts and the read option. They are still the favorite until proven otherwise. This is good for the Cowboys flying under the radar

Good point. But if I remember right, Noah Brown had a good game and fans were thinking he was going to be ok. The bigger issue probably was the OL was in turmoil with Tyron going down the last week of preseason.

I would be absolutely shocked if the Cowboys stomped the Giants in week 1. I think we'll be lucky to get out of their with a win. I am leaning towards a loss.

At the same time, some of these Giants fans are delusional when I see some of their predictions. I see 31-13, 34-17, c'mon. That's never going to happen. They're not all of a sudden this SB contender. They'll be lucky to win a squeaker because our kicker missed a game winning FG.
I agree, I wouldn't count them out as easily as some are!
