Same as projected by the guy who took on AdamJT13's data and extrapolates it now.

I do expect we trade up with 1-3 of the picks and focus on the 7ths we can't move.

Lots of guys we can target for a redshirt season due to injury or other issue.
We've done really well with UDFA and I like having this many shots late.

Pretty big boon for a team that is rebuilding.

If there is a Burfict there with character issues, take him over the McSurdy overachiever. This team desperately needs raw talent, not more RAH RAH Rudy types.

Along with considering OL, DT, RB and WR , QB is another deep position in the 2014 Draft. Note that 4 out of 5 positions of high regard are indeed Offense.

While LBs, DEs and DBs are thin across the board (though Safety has some depth as well) a smart Draft could fix an Oline and interior DL for years to come, outside of WR they rank highest of all.

Brandon Carr might not like someone infringing on his territory.
How about Bernadeux starting and actually getting better over the last half of the season! How about the Cowboys going away from BPA and drafting a center late in the 1st round last year.

Maybe they'll draft 6 guards with all those 7th round picks....

I mean, if you are going to grind your axe non-sequiturially, don't grind just one.....

Our three original 7th rounders could be used to move us up. I like our position in this draft.

They actually didn't go away from bpa, they traded down and took bpa--that they targeted.

If 6 7th rounders can make this team, we are in a lot more trouble than I thought.

Although this team has been pretty good at finding very late round talent and serviceable (sometimes downright good) UDFA's.
You have a darn good point.

Thanks. That is a lot of picks. Hoping for a solid haul this year. We need a good infusion of talent on the cheap.

If the Cowboys haven't already gotten an extra 6th rounder in a trade down, I can see the draft braintrust evaluating the value of the field for the 7th round, vs a trade up into the 6th for a falling or under-appreciated player. Odds are pretty low at that part of the draft anyway.

According to ye ole trade value chart, our 3 7's are worth roughly a mid round 6th.

248, 251, and 254. Don't know the slide on the 4th through 7th picks yet.

having these 3 extra late picks are us getting ahead of the UDFA market...that can bode well for us (potentially)

This is exactly how I view it. Dallas has done well with UDFAs over the years and pretty well with some 7th rounders as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with a couple of decent players in the 7th.
