That's just a silly cliche. There are literally hundreds of MLBers that can do it and tens of thousands more in the minors or college level that could do it too. Heck you can take any reasonably athletic guy off the street, give him some batting practice and 100 ABs against the average Major League pitcher, and he'll eventually find his way into a bloop single. Just look at Pedro Martinez. The toughest singular athletic feat is probably something like a quadruple lutz or something like that (I don't follow figure skating so I may have the terminology wrong). But isn't that the jump that only, like, a dozen men on the planet can actually do?
